The average amount of video content watched daily on youtube is 1 billion hours each day.
on yearbase that is 50 000 years of content watched each year!
These numbers are from a few months ago so keep in mind that it is growing and growing so at moment of writing it will be a lot more already.
Of course the question is rising already: how long would it take to read all posts on steemit :)
What about in 1 year, or 5 years :)

cant remember the exact figure but the other day I heard how much content is being added every second...it was mind blowing!
Wow! Who would've thunk it. Amazing.
I think the biggest challenge for steemit is to bring the content creators from YouTube.
Because, it is a popular platform. Secondly, it is video based. And everybody likes watching content than reading one.
I think Reddcoin comes in there to support these platforms - Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
