This piece of art is mine, it is also now yours dear Steemers. Something to hang proudly in my shop and inspire others to sign up.
My first Steemit post, about how I quit my job and decided to go out on a creative limb, is the most I have ever earned in my life from something I have created. Madly eating a cupcake while repeatedly hitting refresh, watching the upvotes come through, I weirdly felt embarrassed, then happy and really nervous. I am still in shock. I have to be honest, for a while I thought “this can't be real.”
Your warm embrace has been GORGEOUS! I am one step closer to getting that coffee machine for my shop I have been dreaming about for a while.
Sure there is no guarantee to get paid for all original content on Steemit but a revolutionary blockchain ecosystem will no doubt resonate with many artists and makers as it did for me. I figure if I can share Steemit with others, more will join and this community will grow. Respect for value is eroding in society. The chance now to be compensated for original content, even in micro-payments is SO cool.
I think deep down I believe that $6,236 for my first story is being overpaid. But maybe writers of original online content systemically undervalue their work? Is Steemit the paradigm shift we have all been waiting for?
Whatever the case, I wanted to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. I have a massive Steemit crush right now. It feels incredible to be a benefactor of such random kindness and welcomed so freely into this community.

Awesome that you love handmade terrycraft. Traditionally craftsmanship is a bit of a dying art but there is a bit of a resurgence at the moment with is so lovely to see and be part of.
As a guy who tries to be manly usaually I have to say this is the sweetest thing I saw on Steem. Soo coool!

How can I not appreciate all the love with the upvotes. This might be an online digital community but it affects me is such a meaningful way in my life with my business and family.

This is so super cool and inspiring to see that such media can allow for the uprising of art in general terms. As the Mayan would say, we are now in a era where time is art as the uprise of the Golden Age of our humanity is coming to fruition. It is great to see that you are already into this cosmic wave. Beautiful stuff! You are absolutely right - we have for too long undervalued good creative and artistic content. The internet has led to a sense of entitlement that everything should be free and cheap, and this has led to a stunning drop in quality of originality.
Steemit has the potential to reverse this trend and reward true creativity. I'm not saying it will happen for everyone, but it does offer an opportunity.

Thank you. I'm really excited to see hot it works out. On Reddit, I have seen so many talented artists show off great content. But it was always a part time thing for them. Imagine how much more creative they could be if they could concentrate on their passion without worrying about the stresses of jobs and finances.
I bet Steemit is going to create and groom some great artists.
