(TOOTTC) Our Film 'The Order of Things to come ' is in the Can!

in #steemit6 years ago

100% of the Steem Dollars and Steem Power earned by this film will be awarded to our short dramatic film 'The Order of Things to Come'.

We filmed our script, 'The Order of Things to Come' in Montreal over the weekend. It was a fun but demanding shoot. However, thanks to the tenacity of the crew, we pulled it off.

This is great news! Congratulations. I am glad people are still using film. I look forward to seeing the finished work.

Truth is, we did it because we had left over stock. Ha! But we are planning to do our feature in 16mm - but with more stock in hand. We had one chance to do the cover shot from beginning to end - 15 minutes beginning to end- non stop. Damn near died when I got the word! But we did it... but never again. I'll pay for the stock myself if I have to. Dang! We do love the film finished product.

Nothing compares to it! Thanks for all the good info. Art is wonderful!

Great to have you back... great to get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a film. The part about a blood-splatter scene got my attention... Whaaat??? Look forward to more updates.

Thanks. Starting the background videos and talk posts tonight!

Can you make sure to include subtitles for the deaf and hearing impaired? Thanks!

That's a good comment! I'll have to explore how to do that. It shouldn't be a problem from the posting perspective. It can be done in the film editing. Hmmm! But how? Looking into it! Thank you.

Thank you for the response. I'm deaf and an IT consultant myself so let me know if you need any assistance there. Am pretty familiar with the tech involved.

Yes. Please do help me here. Once I record the video, how do I add subtitles? Is there an audio editor and is there voice recognition software designed for this. I'm a terrible typist. It would take me hours to transcribe! [email protected]. Any help appreciated! Thanks

Honestly, the easy answer to both of these questions is YouTube. You can upload a video and have it generate subtitles based on speech recognition, and then edit them. You can download these as srt files and use them with other video players. I'm not sure how dtube handles these or if they do.

OK. I'm going to play with this. SRT file may not be compatible with D Tube unfortunately. I might be able to set it up in You Tube then copy the link and post it on a Steemit post but again don't know if it will be readable. I'll keep you posted. Speak to me on steem-chat so I don't miss one of your posts @brian-rhodes, Thanks.

Sure thing @brian-rhodes.I'm surprised that dtube doesn't handle srts. I thought that this was pretty standard tech these days.

If captions are not available then for accessibility purposes the acceptable alternative is a typed transcript as a downloadable file or in the body of the article. If you put it in the article then this has the added bonus of boosting SEO and ultimately the value of your post(s). ;)

I will try, I don't have a lot of free time these days.

Great to hear you overcame all the obstacles and coming back with a cold is not as not bad, look forward to the next blog.

Thank you. The darn cold won't go away! Arrgh!

dear sir when coming to the order of things I need to watch because I know your writing and film very important for us and I know there's a lot to learn from here

Thank you. Behind the scene blogs begin tonight!

wow thank you, sir, which channel I can see

Just watch for my blogs!

Congratulations, I look forward to seeing your latest work! You are brave for using film these days. I'm just a still photographer but I don't think I've used film in over 10 years. Good luck getting over the cold (I'm right there with you on that one, day 6...) Cheers to a successful shoot!

Your son is talented... and fearless! Could be a triple threat!

A little beast of a mountain man headed to Hollywood. Watch out...

Thank you! I agree! I know he's happy to have connected with you and he's been enjoying your Dtube vids.

Thanks. I spoke with I.J. ( @steemcafe )this afternoon and I will now be giving a little photography workshop/presentation at the Creators Conference in Vegas. I heard you might Skype in as well. I hope you do! Cheers!

I had to decline. If I speak, I like to be there, work the crowd. That's the fun of it and I blew my budget on Steemfest and the film. Are you out that way Scott?

Bummer but I totally understand. I believe much of the conference will be streamed via D-live so hopefully you can still check some of it out. I (and @enak) live in Truckee, CA (20 minutes from Lake Tahoe). It's a 7.5 hour drive to Vegas, I was going to fly in but now that I'm presenting, I'll be bringing a lot of gear and driving seems easier.

I'm jealous! Somehow Truckee sounds cool! Given my stage experience and real estate talks (in an earlier life! Blah!) I like to work a crowd. Not good on Skype. Can't get a feel for it. I'm still in conversation with IJ. Would like to help him out if I can. Keep you posted! Say hello to Kane for me!

Have you made this movie on Steem or have a little history ???

No. Not yet. Keep watching?

where can I see ?? your Dtube Channel ??

Congratulations. Still getting caught up on your journey.
Looks like you in The Industry.
I'm from that world.
Looking forward to learning more.
Wishing you all the best up there in Canada.

Thanks. Yeah! Actor first then screenwriter and producer!

dramatic movie that tells what will it be?
Can you tell me a little about the drama of the film?

It seems like a lot of ideas are contained in the dramatic

It will be released on Steemit soon.

Congrats on getting through production.
