The problem is that most of those one billion people aren't "working" but use facebook to share pictures with friends and family. Steemit is not suited to that sort of thing.

I agree, steemit is more like reddit. Busy though is closer to facebook, I think they have plans to have other features like facebook such as a photo album,etc. I also think busy needs more privacy feature to attract family/friend type users.

Thanks! I hope contrarians take notice of what is going on here. I'd advise them to at least join the site and post content here and see what happens. Then check out how the posts look at Busy. Busy has actually fixed some bugs already. The mail option works better now. Still in Beta for now, so let them take their time.

Too many people are fixated on the price. They can't seem to grasp the innovation behind the cryptocurrency STEEM which provides the means for ANY website to connect to it (ie. Steemit.com and Busy.org). I'm sure if the price was going in the reverse direction all the crypto bugs out there would be praising it.

Let's hope contrarians out there do take notice.

I think Steemit should combine both webpage styles so that Steemit has one face place.
When people are on FB they feel they are in a "space" the Facebook space.
With two different place spaces for Steemit, people especially new users, can get confused by which is the real face of Steemit.
Both the Steemit platform and the Busy platform have great functions. Why not just combine them both. If you think how much space FBook uses on its layout for advertising. Steemit does not need to think about that, thus it has much screen space to work with.
