๐๐ A Simple Faucet Helps Promote Steemit ๐
Last week I started up a faucet on my bitcoinflood.com site. I use to run one on here a few years ago till the script I was running off of shut down and I was unable to find a good replacement.
What is a faucet?
A faucet is a free site which you view some ads in exchange for a few satoshi. At the moment I am currently paying out more then I take in for the following reasons.
- To build a userbase (Currently sits at almost 1,100 users)
- Improve Alexa ranking (She needs some love it has been a while started the site in 2013) Improving it over time will allow me to bring on better advertisers and increase payouts even more plus earn a bit of a profit.
How does this help steemit ?

This campaign while slow has so far been a success capturing roughly one to three new quality lead a day.
Where the faucet comes into play is the driving traffic source in which I will be having two banners created for these pages to run on the faucet page. Think of it as an entry point you capture the leads via a free offer in this case free bitcoin. Then push them through a funnel which teaches them about steemit, setting up their account and how it works and where to buy steem to power up.
Just a week into this project so far is looking good with over 1,000 unique users to promote to. These users are also part of my one signal campaign which are the desktop notifications you see for here as an example.
I will be continuing work on this and updating you about once a week or a little sooner with stats and how the project is going along with any modification I make to it.
