Building a Whale
How do you build a whale?
I don't know! Which is a real problem for me, being as how I fully intend on becoming a whale, if you can dig it. ;)
I don't really understand how to curate 'properly'...yet.
What I do understand is building community. THAT'S my jam. I once had a friend tell me that I build community as though my life depends on it.
When she said that to me I suddenly understood something vital. She was right.
Our lives DO depend on community.
And right now, in this world at this time, it's the space between us that is hurting us the most.
This is one of the reasons I love Steemit. Community is key here, it's built into every interaction and intent that we have.
I've been incredibly blessed on Steemit. I have found my community, and together we are making this world a better place.
Build-a-Whale is now a part of my community and I plan on helping it as much as I can. I'd like to start by being a curator. I feel strongly that this part of the project - the people with their opinions and personal backgrounds - in the upvoting and resteeming of good quality content is the thing that sets this project above and beyond others of it's kind.
I look forward to working with @themarkeymark and @chiefmappster making @buildabear the monster-for-good that it can be!

And thank you sooooooooo much @bethalea we are honored to have such an amazing piece of content written about the project.
I know @themarkeymark puts his mind, body, and soul into everything he does and truly is one of the best people I have met. So we are definitely pleased to have someone with a similar mindset apply for this. My gut tells me with all the good you plan on doing you are a shoe-in. But we will know for sure after this week :)

I know being a whale is what all steemians could dream of, steemit is my life
Since I've being part of this community, though I have never gotten nor made a dime or anything to say but I have the plan in helping a lot of children
If only I could be a whale but if I can't I hope all whales reading this can help me
