It was 7 days ago now that I reached 900 followers, on May 11th, 2017!

Some of the best comments I receive in a week like many of you, are when people take a moment to tell me that they like my content on here or that it HELPS them. It encourages me on some tough days in life and it helps me.

Great work! I joined Steemit early last August and I wish I'd stuck to it and had more faith at the time. I'd be doing a lot better today, but oh well. Putting a lot into Steemit now and loving it!
There are a lot of people here who may not be sure who you are but we have known each other for years and if anyone wants a real Alternative Media guy to follow who you can relate to --- follow Josh. I can say this sincerely, he has put his money where his mouth is and we have both been activists and reporters and informing people of the TRUTH for years.

Keep it up. Seems your activities here are paying off in the long run! We were close in numbers for a bit, but the time I was a way you really picked up your postings and all.
I more or less kept doing the same.
I also went on #SteemitStrike for a full week during huge payouts for me, I walked away from money making $60-100/ day on average for a full week, out of principle, because of some of the power broker 1% type issues here and lost support because I don't suck up to people so that cost me LOL in terms of supporters.
If I could get to making $60 a day here I would be set and not need another job! Either way for me this can be a great way to pass the time. Just hoping that when the new job starts end of this month I will be able to find the time to keep posting as that does seem to make the most difference in terms of payouts!

I'm glad for you but you don't seem to be reciprocating with followers, just sayin'. Way more followers than following, I don't care but many do care about that reciprocity.
Actually I follow more people than a lot of people.
Some people follow me that have very little content, or make comments like nice post all day long - so am I supposed to follow everyone like this? Or follow every person and every topic, no matter what, even if I do not find some of it valuable to myself?

You confirm my observations about the ratio the number of posts to number of followers. It is about 10:1, that is, the more you write, the more people follow you.
I have been wondering similar too, I am a numbers/stats/charts guy.
Clearly you are too so I will share this with you too, I have observed during my time here.
It depends on the person/content/other factors too but I found after I reached 500 followers, on Feb. 20th (so literally 90 days ago and I joined in August and took a full month off, then another week when I went on #SteemitStrike to stand against some of the issues here, 1% wise, flag wise etc)
but after 500th follower, things seemed to move quicker.
