The easy way to delegate/undelegate Steem Power. (NO MATH involved)
Stop calculating vests for delegation!
That’s the hard way.
Use the easy way...
For Steemians who may not know, delegation is a great way to show your support to your peeps, host contests, promote good curation, etc. Essentially it is a loan of your Steem Power, your influence on the platform, that can be recouped in 7 days.
I’ve seen a lot of posts about delegation, but they all require calculations to VESTS. I say "F—K that." Especially since that is not necessary at all, and you end up with all these odd unsatisfying amounts of SP delegation.
Okay, lets go…
In the following link, replace “60” with the amount of SP you want to delegate, “themothership” to your preferred delegatee, and “avesa” with your account name. Boom presto.
The next template may be even easier :) replace the CAPS (besides “SP" at the very end) with your desired variables...
There ya go. Ya did it. You are fabulous.
To undelegate SP, do the same thing — use the same link — but replace the AMOUNT_OF_DELEGATION_IN_SP to “0”. Bam whamo. Undelegated.
A while ago, on one brave Steemian’s post, I found that magical link — I can't believe I forget it and can't find it again to give credit; just a slew of posts requiring VESTS calculations and sketchy 3rd party applications. Ooo das a rhyme...
Use this and dole out your dime for a limited time.
Thank you for reading. And God bless baby orangoutangs.

Sounds interesting, I had thought of take delegated steem power before but I always thought it wouldn't be so profitable for me when I'm trying to build my own power first hehe.
Don't wanna lose money but if delegated steem power can help with good ROIs then I'm in, I haven't been in that game of calculating if it's gonna be profitable or not because I was afraid of all the calculations I might had to go through hehe bcz I was busy with other things!
What do you say @avesa ?
Yeah you're right, you need to build up your power first! Delegated SP doesn't pay you back unless you delegate to someone or somebot that says they will. Some of the @minnowsupport bots offer daily payouts or upvotes from a bot for SP delegation :)
Yeah I came to know about the minnowsupport bots who takes delegation in return for a percentage of the SBD bid for the votes.
At first I thought that will be really great to do and I thought I could make a profit, but I ran all the calculations as I was curious then found out if I upvote others on my own that will be more profit than delegating SP to them.
I'm looking forward to making a steemit voting bot in the future.
Do you have anything to say on that?
I think that would be cool! EVEN COOLER maybe though, an assisted manual curation station. I've been pondering on the subject myself. A tool that arranges your favorite creators posts in different ways, perhaps randomly. Or by length of post, type, lowest rewards, alphabetical.
Perhaps a voting bot that learns your behaviors on this curation station and keeps voting lesser amounts while you are away.
long live monkeys :D
OO OO AH AH.
(agrees)
Seriously, I'm still learning about this whole delegation thing, I know I got to build power in order to have more steem and steem dollars ; which option would you recommend between sharing your rewards between SBD and SP (50/50) or making it all SP ? I've decided to make it all SP in order to gain more and more power, as I'm only here since roughly 15 days.
That has been a great strategy in the past - and in the future I believe it will be again - but with SBD being worth over 8 bucks each, for now I say do 50/50 and then trade your SBD for STEEM and power that up to STEEM POWER.
yes that seems the best thing to do, I'm gonna go back to the old 50/50 strategy then :D
Can you remind me where we set that option? I can't manage to find it back :D
You choose when you create a post. It's a lil drop down box labled "rewards". It can't be changed after it's been posted.
thanks I found it had forgotten
Hi avesa
How do I trade the SBD for STEEM ?
Hey! Go to your wallet and click on your SBD's, then click "market". There it will show you the best price at the moment and you input how much SBD you want to sell. Press "buy Steem", and voila
Ha ha ha. They are sooo adorable indeed. Regards Nainaz.

Right?? When I look into their eyes, I melt </3
I wanna go to a primate sanctuary and never leave.
Yeah, fuck that! Make delegation great again.
hahahaha YES.
#makedelegationgreatagain
Its a thing now.
That's a great shortcut!
Thanks for sharing this. I will definitely pass it along.
Absolutely! You're so welcome. Glad it could help!
🤔
I learned yesterday one can purchase /rent delegations from Block Trades.
It's not really worth it now - but it was a few months ago.
Right :/ Same with voting bots. I'm pretty sure...
I guess if you're careful, you can come out about even.
finaly easy way! thanks
You're so welcome!!
A breath of fresh air...
(long, satisfied sigh)
:)
Providing the image source would be a great help to avoid being accused of plagiarism.
Just a friendly suggestion.
Thanks for letting me know! For the imgs i just typed in cute orangatang in google, then put the steem logo on one. Does that not qualify as free use or something? Haha im pretty clueless about that. Are you saying I should get and list the src's from every img i use on here? Like embedded? or straight up below the pics?
Yeah, that's right - the source for each image that is not yours should be provided.
As well you should take care (especially now when you received such a big SP delegation) not to abuse the platform by posting not original content, copyright protected materials and similar (as the SP might be revoked the same easy way as it was given).
Images are quite tricky and slippery field, especially their usage here on Steemit (where we earn some real money with publishing) what means the images are used for commercial purposes. In other words, some images that you would be able to use e.g. on your private blog might not be free to use here (for commercial purposes).
I'll leave you here few links about the topic to the articles of some other Stemians where they explained it more detailed, and as well few links to the sites where you may find free images to use even for commercial purposes (although even there, it's also good to check the license for each image/photo you are planning to use, and in which license would be described where and how you may use it).

There are many others as well, but for the beginning, I believe even those two would be of some help.
Wow. I wasn't thinking about it like that. It totally is commercialized use. I'll definitely be more cautious moving forward. Thank you for the enlightenment <3
You are welcome! I believe, nobody was thinking about it that way, especially not at the beginning. We were all excited that Steemit, such as it is, even exists. 😉😊
This is nice information and noted!
I never really knew how to delegate steempower before now!
Just discovered your blog and i think I'm going to be on your trail! @avesa
Thank you so much Ced! Glad I could shed some light on the matter.
You have some nice articles too! I'll be doing the same :)
Thanks sir!
More steem to ya elbow😁😁
lol v.funny piece @avesa
Why thank you Guru
