My apologies for what I said about bitconnect.

in #steemit7 years ago

I know I have been getting a lot of flak from saying that bitconnect was a scam, which true or not, I shouldn't have said that without any actual proof. I am young and still looking for ways to express myself, and a lot of times I don't know how to express my feelings about something. After seeing people's posts about bitconnect being a scam as well as some videos, I was truly convinced it was a scam, so that is why I was so passionate about saying it was a scam. I should have never made those accusations about it when I didn't have solid proof or backing behind my statement.

My true intentions was to protect people from being scammed out of their money, but I did it the wrong way. I flat out said it was a scam when I didn't know for sure, when I really meant to say something along the lines of "Do you trust bitconnect?" or "are you sure bitconnect is legit?" My wording was really bad and made it seem like I was flat out blaming them, so I corrected my wording. I was really try to give the tell tale signs that it was a scam, I wasn't trying to flat out blame it. And I could be wrong, And I really do hope I am wrong that it is a scam because I want people to have the opportunities to change their lives.

I was really convinced it was a scam, but I had no proof, and I shouldn't have came out and said what I have said so boldly. And for that I am sorry, and I have edited my posts to where it isn't flat out blaming bitconnect or anyone on here supporting it. Although I don't know for sure bitconnect is a scam, although I have my suspicions, I am sorry for coming out and blaming bitconnect or anyone for that matter. The truth is I don't have any proof. And I truly didn't mean to blame anyone. I am sorry.

But I am sorry for making "accusations" but I really want you to understand that my intentions aren't bad, I just want to warn people of potential scams that can ruin your life if you spend too much money on it. Of course, there is not any proof that is solid yet, but time will tell. I am just listing signs and suspicious signs of bitconnect. I don't know, maybe it can be an awesome thing, god knows. But I just think it is fishy, plane and simple. I really don't like arguing, and yes, I say stuff out of heat, but don't take them personally. I am not a perfect person, as you aren't either. I hope you can come to realize I have no bad intentions, I am just trying to make a living. And yes, I know I can be wrong, or right, but that really doesn't matter, All that matters was I was trying to make a good gesture to help. So, I take back any blame I have put on bitconnect or anyone.

Don't be sorry, just speak your mind. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Don't be sorry. No white paper. It is a scam. Everyone knows it minus the people who are cool with profiting by trapping other people up. Reevaluate and stand your ground.

I don't feel like being in the line of fire of the people who support bitconenct, And yes, most likely it is a scam, but I want to stay out of the problems people are trying to start with me.

It is a scam. The proof is in the (literally) unbelievable amount of money being made - especially in referrals. The simple obvious explanation is correct: in typical ponzi fashion, incoming investment money is being used to pay earlier investors. How could it be any other way? Trading bots? Nah... don't exist.

You don't need to disprove ridiculous an unbelievable claims. That's up the burden of those that make such claims. And "trading bots" is just such a claim.

It may or may not be, who knows, but it is better to be neutral about things, time will tell if it is or not. Steem on! :)

yeah, I think it's a scam. pretty plain to me, but people that choose to participate have to be willing to take the flak . If they think they're going to make money, let them choose. 2 biggest things with me, 1 can't get deposit back, no transparency on what mechanism actually makes money (ok, it's proprietary, oh well)

its not worth getting into legal trouble over it, especially if there isnt really any solid proof, thats the way I look at it...I want to stay out of the line of fire.

you cant get into legal trouble if you say it the right way.
"I believe it is a scam" is fine.... speak your mind, but, reference the opinion as your own, then there is no problems.

I know, before my wording was bad, but I corrected it

@alex-icey is somebody threatening you? There are so many scams related to crypto currencies, you hear all the time that some website or exchange was hacked etc. There are many red flags about BitConnect and their lack of transparency really does make me worried. See

  3. Bitconnect Is A Scam - Red Flag #2: No Exchange Support, aka "Completely Fabricated Market Cap" - Dark Pools Don't Define Liquidity

Don't apologize for your opinion that is shared by many. Everybody investing in BitConnect should be aware that it's very high risk and it could collapse.

I'd prefer to be on the neutral side of things and out of the line of fire, It is most likely a scam, but there is really no solid proof yet, or not enough of it to justify, but time will tell. Steem on!

Thanks for being honest. I dont think its a scam. Trading bots are real. Every bank on wall street uses them and you can even buy your own. I use bitconnect and that is my decision. Dont be a hater is all im saying. Have a great day!

worse yet, if someone does think it's a scam, but thinks they can make money off it anyways before it goes bust. That is bad people. If not, just gullible.

Can't be proven to be a scam until it all goes down! It could be that they have a fail proof business and financial plan and their volatility software is doing what it is supposed to do. They may have moved beyond the old ways of doing business and into a new technological way of doing things and that is why they are very secretive to protect their own business model. Anyway, either way, if you do go in, get your principal back as soon as possible then let your profits run.
