Quick Update on How Steemit is evolving (and me back from long holidays)

I'm back!

I was off to the beach for few weeks. I was totally off the grid and felt fine about it. I mean.. for real. No internet, no computer no nothing. It felt good.

I always try to keep my life consistent to what "I'm built for".

I mean, if we've evolved for thousands of years without screens and without high-speed information, we shouldn't be surprised that it feels good to stay surrounded by other humans and have little external information for a while. That's actually what I did and was like a fish in water.

Now as I check back Steemit and where the platform is going, it's crazy how things change fast here. You've got to like chaos, and those who thrive best are those who know how to surf the tides.

What is still bothering me most about Steemit is that, yeah.. we share information and try to create value, but I truly felt that it's hard to find people to truly exchange with.

It feels like everyone is on an endless monologue.

That's probably why I refrained from writing my thoughts and ideas as single posts, at least for while. Instead I started commenting on people's posts and truly engage with them, which felt good actually. There is a sense of being heard and actually being able communicate on a true level with people you want to connect with.

Other than that, it all feels like a gold rush, that we're in the Chilkoot pass and everyone has like 2 sec to decide if you're gonna help them or drag them behind.

Discord groups are actually doing a great job for setting up true communities. I'm part of the Unmentionables. It's a community trying to help their members grow. It's makes you feel like you're part of a team. That's cool.

I found that it's a lot easier to respond to people's posts than actually coming up with unilateral decisions to talk about a specific subject. That's at least how I feel about it right now.

There is more things to come with Steemit, but I'm taking it easy for now.
