That's a lot of followers!

I've noticed that I've somehow attracted over 100 followers. I had over 50 before I submitted my introduceyourself post. This seems a little weird to me and I suspect most, maybe all, are bots. Perhaps I'm overly suspicious, or maybe I don't understand how followers work but...
