Chicken Pox! [Sam and Ficus] Comic Strip
Ficus came down with chicken pox and Sam has him resting because of the high fever and malaise symptoms that come with it. He doesn't understand the source of this viral disease and innocently thinks that it's caused by chickens.
If he could see himself, he would notice all of his body covered with polka dots, a really horrifying experience for any one. The itchiness its horrible and the fever overwhelming for anyone that succumbs to it.
This highly contagious disease killed many in the old days and even though we have vaccines these days, we still get it, but not as severe. Once we get it most of us will develop immunity to it, but some people will get it more than once in their life time.
Once immune to it, the fear grows because with age comes the chances of getting a related chicken pox disease called shingles. This one is a horrible painful rash that will last a week or so and even though is rare to die from it, they say the misery of suffering from it is a nightmare.
Ficus will be fine soon. Sam is taking care of him and he will be back to his shenanigans.
