Before I Lay My Head to Rest.... Steemit Prayer. The Path of the Righteous Steemer.
The Path of the Righteous man! I'm not Christian nor do I condone how it's followed. I do have issues with it's varying practices. The book had great things to say, this is my Steemit take on one tiny part of that book, what ever version you call it.
“The path of the righteous Steemer is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of Greedy people. Blessed is the Steemer, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the new authors through the valley of darkness, for they are truly their Steemer’s keeper and the finder of lost bloggers. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my fellow Steemers. And you will know Steemit is the King of Crypto when it lay’s it’s vengeance upon thee.”
Well my friends, if you can see what I see in this you're in the know. Please see this is the light. This is our constitution and it's all that matter's today. Who knows about tomorrow? Today, this our die hard mantra.
For the sticklers this is my inspiration for this post. Yea, sure Ezekiel 25:17 has many translations and versions; this is the most important one. You don't need to look too deep, just skim the surface and the light will shine.

One of the reasons I love Steemit was the amount of integrity and help the intellectual minds of this community put forth in the first week I joined. Reading through the comments and posts, I came across the sense of nurturing and constructive criticism that can't be found on Facebook or other social sites. For that I will continue to praise the Steem community and strive to uphold this in my own posts and comments. Thank you for sharing.
I think that is the reason why this will not be matched or co-opted, there are so many critical thinkers and inspired people here who love the truth and the liberty of spreading it. If we keep doing this, the inherent value of truth and the wisdom exchanged here coupled with the immutable and transparency aspects of the blockchain will provide the means to free ourselves.
I totally agree. I've noticed that integrity and truth has started to become a growing trend in the mainstream. My hope is that the momentum gained here will empower those scared of being osrtasized or that might not have even known that there is a space like this out there, to become more vocal and action oriented. It is my goal to help by sharing my posts and thoughts that I find here across those channels. By no means, expecting the change to happen overnight but with consistency build more traction.
The mainstream could never rebuild their integrity or trust necessary to be taken seriously by critical and intelligent people. They have a grave to lie in, and keep refusing to do so. All we need to do is let them shovel more and more shit onto the public until people roll their eyes at everything they say and see the lies clearly, until the masses are ready to be critical of situations and even more importantly of reasons, methods and ideas themselves, we keep speaking truth into the silence.
Although I agree, to an extent, the trend is still there. I am stubborn enough to refuse to allow that to stop me from trying to reach out in attempts to show that there are places for like-minded intellectuals to make their voice heard and valued. My main focus is to make it known that Steemit is one of those places. I'm not trying to reconstruct the mainstream, I want to show others, that might not know, there's an alternative. The objective is a nearly impossible one but my resolve is absolute.
I see what I did, Speaking the truth into the silence, didn't mean to sound at all apathetic or to imply that the mainstream is where we need to be with that. I tried to sound poetic and came off apathetic, but that yes we don't really have the audience of the mainstream but we hold the key with the posterity of speaking the truth, eventually it will reach the ears of those still engaged by the media beast, until they have been scared by, lied to or manipulated by it one too many times.
What we do here is to build the platform for them to invest their trust into sometime in the future, by speaking the truth and honoring our integrity doing it. As for bringing more people over, you can lead a horse to water but you won't make him drink, that's also not to say that where there's a will there's a way doesn't supersede everything, as I believe the best driver is perseverance.
Oh ok, thank you for the clarification. I completely agree, I have always liked the idea of tearing the system apart from the inside-out. I commend the attempt at poetry and apologize for the misunderstanding. I definitely agree with the horse to water analogy. All we can do is keep fighting the good fight. It's conversations and exchanges like ours that makes me so grateful for finding this community.

By the way Do you wanna hear something appalling? Even after all the meme exposure I had and all the good comments. I have never watched Pulp Fiction yet in all my life. This coming from a Gen Y who sees and knows Han shot first. I'm surprised myself as I am reminded of pulp fiction while reading your Steemit Prayer. That is, after I was done feeling dreadful for myself for know knowing a think you referenced.
