Quadruple Berry Crisp

Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 02 Round 04

The 2018 Steemit Ironchef challenge is here! This year @progressivechef broke up the contest into 3 separate 'Acts' consisting of 15 rounds. This week is the fourth round of Act 2. The special theme is 'Berries'! Any type of berry works so I decided to use four different kinds. I made a Quadruple Berry Crisp that is bursting with flavor. It's served with whipped cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. A perfect summertime dessert.

Ingredients

1.5 cups of Blackberries
1.5 cups of Blueberries
1.5 cups of Strawberries
1.5 cups of Raspberries
2 cups of Rolled Oats
2 cups of Flour
1.5 cups of Butter
5 tablespoons of Sugar
1.5 cups of packed Brown Sugar
1.5 tablespoon of Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of Nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of All-Spice

Step 1: Bowl the Berries

Wash up all of the fresh berries and add them to a bowl.

This looks sooo tempting! Bravo my friend! Happy to see you back!

Looks good! Maybe try baking with Earth Balance butter some time, same taste/results without all of the other stuff in it :)

Thank you so much for featuring me @goldendawne! I am honored :)

I have to be honest... I am a sucker for berry crisps! They remind me of my maternal grandma! She'd make these with whatever berries she'd find in her garden at the end of the season then she'd whip up some homemade whipped topping! OH MY GOSH! HEAVEN on Earth!

One thing you forgot to mention about this Dish that could add to it's appeal...

It's Wheat Free !!

Gluten Free Food is fast catching on since people are awakening to the fact, that wheat does nothing good for the body..

wow,very good recipe.
looks so tasty & yummi.

Wow, your berry crisp looks so mouthwatering and beautifully shot Jeff!

I just had my homemade low fat cherry ice cream and noy felt like I'm hungry again, lol

Thanks a lot @joyrobinson!
Sorry for making you hungry again :P
Have a wonderful day!

This looks amazing. I like that you used half of the topping for the crust. A lot of the cobblers I have had in the past don't do that and just have the fruit sitting below the topping. This looks like a great summertime dessert!

Thanks @bozz! I appreciate the feedback.
Have a great day!

Your berry crisp looks divine @jeffjagoe, I've made apple crisp which has a similar oats topping, would love to try your berry version if I can get hold of such delicious berries!
