Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 01 Round 10 : Tatar du Rouge

My first entry in the monochrome week is red ... I love tatar ... and red it is ...

Ingredients

Tatar meat ....
black bread
red bell pepper
red chilli
red onion
tomatoes
garlick
beetroot (slice finely and deep fry to chips)
salt and pepper
fish sauce
soy sauce
mayonaise
chillipaste
red pesto
Steps

mix meat with garlic, soysauce and fish sauce

salat salsa... of finely chopped red peppers, tomatoes, red onions, chillipeppers, dressed with a mix of oliveoil and a tiny bit of soy sauce and fish sauce

reddish orange mayo... mix mayo with chilli paste and red pesto season to taste ( it was more red dish in real than here on the pics lol )

Dark bread, I toasted it slightly on a pan( I make this usually twice a week ...) this is not red but dark and the idea is that it will not be visible under the mayo coating...

a slight bit of red chilli and red onion

add the salad salsa, your deepfried beetroot chips and a few generous dollops of your spicy mayo ...

I have never tried to make a tartar. It seems so hard, even though it's not cooked, lol. I like all your shades of red, including your mayo sauce!

Overall I will say you did quite well on this red monochrome dish where we get to see different shades of red!
Of course it would look even better if the mayo was a little bit more red..but anyway I am sure this tasted sooo good!
I love tartar btw!

yup I agree the mayo was lighter than it should have been ... it didn't quite hit the color palette ....
