[Steemit Hunt] Chronicled - Create a digital life for the physical products you love
Chronicled offers both an open registry for the internet of things and an app that makes it easy to register products on the open registry
Background
A widely discussed application of a blockchain is to use it to authenticate ownership. A decentralized database for authentication has not emerged yet at scale, but Chronicled is the most promising company working on solving this problem that I've seen. They're using the Ethereum blockchain to create this global registry (see white paper for more on how they're building it).
Why you might want to use it?
As is the case with most blockchain projects currently, it's still early here and the main application is for sneakerheads that want to authenticate sneakers. Fraud is a huge issue in the sneaker industry and authenticating your sneakers on the blockchain is a great way for sneaker dealers to gain the trust of their customers and its a good way for collectors to be sure they're not buying fakes.

In the future, there's a lot you can do with physical items that you're registering on the blockchain. You could imagine an AR experience if you own the private key associated with the physical goods.
