[INSIGHT ANALYSIS] on user growth and user behaviour of steemit.com community
As many of you know for a community it is important to be aware how it is growing and if the growth is sustainable. I have visualised some data which is available about the user behavior of visitors coming to steemit.com.
In total there are around 28901 accounts on steemit.com as of 19th July 2016. At the moment on average around 1000 new accounts are generated per day. In general one can say the more traffic the more signups.
What is our Visitor to signup rate (new and recurring once)
At the moment on average around 1,8% of Visitors convert into a Registration.
The best day was so far 13th of July which had a signup rate of about 3,5% which is around double the average.
How about heavy users on steemit.com
In general around 16 to 20% of registered members are heavy users of steemit.com which accounts for around 5000 members. This is a very good sign so far and shows the the community is growing healthy.
I assume there is now a community of around 1000 People which is really the core or so called hardcore users.
We will see how this develops, a lot will have to to what the Marketing or PR or more or less the Outreach plan is.

I upvoted you. That is interesting that 3000 users signed up on July 13th. Because I was looking at SteemWhales.com and pretty much determined there were about 3500-4000 active accounts on here right now. And the gates are closed. We are so lucky to be on Steemit. yes 3500 to 4000 active accounts within the last 24 hours is the right area at the moment.
Upvote :) It totally feels like when Bitcoins exploded! Steemit just need a tiny bit more free PR and I think the rest will solve it self :) When do you think there will be 100k users? :)
yes one big media-coverage and we get flooded and exponential growth kicks in.

Those stats are great, how would one get activity stats for times of day users are most active? Would need to know what timezone that data would be based on also.
This is good statistics. This rush must be concealing the dark guys who are here to somehow game it. Worried about them. up-voted!

I think the conversion rate could increase if the site looked a little bit more modern. This current website feels half baked.
yes i am writing an a proposal for marketing and growth strategy as we sit i have a strong opinion as we have here code specialists we need as well marketing specialists otherwise it will just evaporate over time
