@silkroad40: Welcome to Istanbul - meet where the continents meet - SIBWA Challenge

@silkroad40, as you're heading towards the Bosphorus on your pan-eurasian tour you will arrive soon in Istanbul - the biggest city of the world, which is located on two continents. The Bosphorus, a 31 km long natural waterway separates the European part of Istanbul from the Asian part and forms a boundary between the two continents. Istanbul has therefore an extraordinary geographic position as a natural bridge between East and West on the historic Silk Road constituting the country's economic, historical and cultural heart.

There is such an abundance of historical places to visit in Istanbul, but if you don't have much time to spend then I would recommend a Bosphorus tour. Taking a bosphorus cruise is a relaxed way to get a nice overview of Istanbul as both sides of the shore have great historical attractions and old palaces to offer.

You can book a private bosphorus tour but I would recommed booking Istanbul's official ferry company, Sehir Hatlari, as it offers three different types of cruises (short cruise, full Bosphorus cruise and a cruise by night) for the best bosphorus experience and a good price performance.
