Look at the hot or trending posts. How many comments do they have? Compare it with the votes they got and you will see what I mean. When they do have comments, the ratio goes from x3 more votes to x30. I mean something is clearly wrong. Checking my previous post, I got 70 votes in less than an hour but only 3 views and 0 comments.

Now we even have the views counter

I didn't do proper calculations, but from what I can see, the views is not that far from the number of comments. I don't know how the counter works exactly so there is a bit of guessing there. Knowing that we have bots on this platform, there is nothing surprising there. I mean, you would by default avoid to count when a bot reads, whatever that means.

I comment a lot. Even a quick comment is nicer that nothing. I am not saying I dislike the +100 upvotes. IT just that it wasn't the main reason why I join here. I never got 20 different persons commenting on my post. My ego is pretty happy, and my purse too when the votes ticks, for whatever reason. But I get so much happier when I see a comment on my post. Because they also mean that someone bothered to read it! I don't write for whales, bots... I write for people. I want my words to be a bridge to my feelings. Will you join me?

I am up for a true synergy on Steemit, inspiration overflowing from one place of the world to another . I had moments like that, and that is what I remember the most from my time here. That what makes me come back here and get better at writing by finding new challenges, new medium, new settings, basically trying to be a better writer.
