This is my entry for the contest promoted by @rosatravels.

If you are interested in participating, you can read all information by clicking HERE)

First of all, I think it's important to know the history of the initiative before diving into your understanding (because in this way you become more aware of the essence of it).

So, here's a breefing about SteemHunt's footsteps:

What is SteemHunt?

SteemHunt

In a simple and very straightforward way, it can be said that this is a new decentralized application (DApp) in the market that uses the Steem blockchain.

With this platform, users can curate / get new and cool products and be rewarded for this work. Yes, it's possible to make "easy" money (depending on your effort and dedication, the money is real) make money with this DApp.

You hunt - as the name itself mentions - an interesting product, make a post about it and win Steem and for those who have joined Steemit, being part of this DApp in the quest for search and dissemination for new products is something easy to be done.

Who created SteemHunt?

It was a creation of @project7 and @tabris - both developers from South Korea - and some others managers, dev team and moderators. Do you wanna know who are they?

Here are the team:

  • Some of the curators:

The journey lasted about four months before being officially released to the public and start drawing the attention of people on how to look for new certain types of products.

How does SteemHunt work?

As I mentioned earlier, DApp offers rewards in steem for curators who find and advertise new products and tools. But its submission needs to be approved by the moderators (it needs to be within the required standards) and only then available to the public and with that, being able to compete in the ranking of daily earnings.

Once you find an interesting product and want to share with everyone, you have this template available to write about it:

SteemHunt

The Daily Ranking.

It is important to say: The upvote system from Steemhunt is based on the ranking system (upvotes and comments are taken into account for the article to reach larger positions at the end of the day... so, it's about interaction too!).

Only 100 products per day will get upvote based on user scores above 1.00. That means once your post is approved, you will enter a competition for the daily prize.

Consider this: Every new user is given a user score (this is very importante because with that - HUNT tokens, which are currencies with market value -, it's possible reward other members... creating a kind of collective-chain aid) and their rewards are decided based on the user's own score (then the greater your influence... the greater your reward).

This is a view of the daily ranking:

This is a view of users commenting and leaving upvotes (and being rewarded by these interactions):

The app is in the KST time zone and works as a daily ranking (which happens every KST midnight). The products posted are listed in descending order from the value that appears in the post.

Rules.

Before read this, keep in mind that the products (not companies, of any kind!) found on SteemHunt are primarily about technology, hardware, apps and video games. So, you'll have to write only about it and follow this rules:

  • Post a product (and not a business) like: Web services / Mobile apps / Games / API / IT solutions / Bots / Open sources (or other types of software) / Tech gadgets / Unique items.

  • All posts must be written in English.

  • Post on new products and preferences that were recently released on the market.

  • Plagiarisms are not tolerated and copyright must always be respected.

  • Always mention all the sources that supported your article (there needs to be a direct link to the product).

  • Write with great quality. Articles that are poorly structured and have poor information will not be approved.

Who supports SteemHunt?

Well, beyond the community and from the members themselves (which is already a great support!). There are some special roles to keep the Steemhunt running and kicking.

Check it out:

  • Social Media Manager and Digitl Influencers: Basically, they worked in marketing to advertise DApp through the most varied types of social and digital media like:

Facebook, Twitter, Discord and Telegram.

All users can use those channels to interact directly with each other!

  • Community Managers: They work on multiple channels doing a focused work against articles that contain plagiarism.

  • Moderators: People responsible for reviewing the articles and see if everyone is following the rules before having their articles approved.

What makes you a talented SteemHunter?

Giphy

That's the question that might be worth a million dollars, haha!

However, there is no secret here. If you are a curious (I think this is an indispensable feature because you have to be discovering new sites, forums and groups to know what is going on there) and persistent hunter who knows where the new products are on the market and have the ability to dig these products and introduce them to the world.

So, be authentic, creative and use your own words to write with some articles in a functional way (but adding your personal touch). Acting like this, I'm sure SteemHunt will be a perfect place for you and soon you will be addicted to posting the a lot of news there!

Thank you @wiseagent for your submission.

Thanks for your post. I think the journey image above is made by @jayplayco from this article - https://steemit.com/steemhunt/@jayplayco/steemhunt-history-of-steemhunt.

Could you recognise him to use or ask him permission to refer?

Absolutely!

I just didn't do it before because when I found the image in my google search his name wasn't highlighted (but I edited my post right now).

Thanks for the reminder, @project7.
