Larry Sanger has been very disappointing by what has become of Wikipedia. It has become corrupt and full of gate keeping. Over an year ago I talked about this in detail under the title The Death Of Wikipedia: An In Depth Look At Behind The Scenes Of Gate Keeping, Elitism, Mismanaged Funds, Information Vandalism + Blockchain Based Alternatives Here is a short intro into the project:
Detailed Breakdown on Why Wikipedia is Worse Than Facebook and How Encyclosphere Creates Change - Explained by Larry Sanger

Damn! The credentials are amazing. Your article linked above provides lot of insights. I think people are blissfully unaware of how messed up Wikipedia has become. Just cuz something isn't a profit making business doesn't mean it can't be corrupted. We need as many decentralized solutions working together to make things better,
I'm so happy to hear that their are alternatives to Wikipedia which has obviously become biased and slanted by gatekeepers of knowledge who simply rewrite the narrative to fit in with the mainstream propaganda slant. It is another version of fake news. Even worse because it is disguised and parading as a legit source of info, like an encyclopedia. Bring on the blockchain alternatives, that can't be rewritten by the victors, like history always is.

Good luck with that Larry
But i do not think this will solve the problem.
Replacing one gatekeeper with another.
I think https://everipedia.org has better potential. But I still want to support anyone who is trying to be better than Wikipedia. At the very least it spreads the message and expose the flaws in Wikipedia that most people are simply unaware of. Even I had no idea about many of these problems until I did some research last year.
Very interesting!
