With the World Cup starting, everyone is talking about the beautiful game and now you can collect your favourite players:

CryptoStrikers is live now on the Ethereum network and being on a public blockchain allows everyone to see how scarce a Soccer Player card really is. They've built the wallet in such a way that allows players/owners to trade the cards directly in and out of their wallets.

Anyone can check which cards you own, and anyone can create games or albums using the cards, which is exciting and similar to all the applications that have sprung up around CryptoKitties.



Given the universal love for Football and Soccer, and the good art style, this cryptocurrency really could take off... but if it doesn't this World Cup it might have to wait another 4 years for true mass adoption, by which case it might have competitors in the space. Time will tell.

    Haha I like playing sports but not a fan of football. For me this game has more fun than actual football games LOLL

      Pros:

      • Could bring new people to the cryptocurrency market, especially being a card set many countries really care about.
      • Low barrier to entry... you don't have to train or breed or fight or explore, it's a simple collection set.
      • Allowing other developers to develop games, albums or websites using these collectibles is pretty genius.
      • Do not mind the artwork at all.

      Cons:

      • These things can get slightly addictive, especially when trying to collect a whole team... you might need some super decent negotiating skills to get the cards you want.

      Thanks! Great points about the low barrier to entry... but it's still confusing for most people to buy ETH to get started... we still need an Instant Coinbase.

      Might need so many Booster packs to get the cards you want, haha.
