The point of this new app is to teach you new languages on your free time.
They have a ton of languages to choose from, and ir uses a bunch of different activities to teach you words in the new language.
One example might be matching up the word with an image or maching up the equivalent word in your language.
And you aren't supposed to know all of them at first obviously, so it's fine if you get some wrong.
The point is it's not just going to have you memorize vocabulary terms, but rather give some context to the words you're learning so you can remember them better.
Pretty cool app to use if you're planning to travel in a foreign country.
No need to pay for a foreign language lesson cause this is free on the store.

I started using Duolingo mainly as a way to keep my language skills sharp, and I’ve noticed it’s especially useful for building daily consistency. The app keeps lessons short and structured, which makes it easier to stay motivated compared to heavier textbooks. At the same time, I wouldn’t say it’s enough on its own for advanced goals. For example, when I was preparing for more formal evaluations, I had to add resources outside the app. One useful option was working with practice materials like dlab test prep, since it focuses on logic and pattern recognition that Duolingo doesn’t really cover. In my experience, the best approach is to see Duolingo as a foundation—it’s great for vocabulary, grammar basics, and habit building, but combining it with specialized tools or speaking practice makes the progress more balanced and realistic.
