Thanks @teamhumble for your encouraging comments. I have a Canon 50 mm lens but always use these two Sigma lenses. Great glass and amazing depth of field on the 30 mm.
The Canon 70D is a whole lot of camera for a third of the original price. It's a steal right now and still best in class.
My son is using the 50 mm at the moment. I do a lot of vlogging so the two Sigma's are perfect for close pieces to camera as seen in the clip. The 50 mm is a great lens but it had to be about 8 feet away to get it in focus :)
One of the best SH posts I've seen so far! I used the 70d for over a year to create a bunch of videos for my YT channel, shotting with the cannon 10-18 and Sigma 30mm 1.4! It really was a fantastic camera for the price tag. Thoughts on +/-
pros:
Canon Colours (still unmatched imo)
decent lenses available
solid autofocus
flip screen
cons:
no 60p at 1080
DLSR are bulky compared with the newer range or mirrorless
Thanks Sam, for your warm comments. There are some good lightweight alternatives but for me personally. The strong build quality of this model gives me the confidence to throw it around and treat it a bit rougher on the road as you know. It can take it. :)
Pros:

has quick and smooth focus because of the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system
perfect for photographers and vloggers
user friendly
Cons:
can't really see anything bad about this camera.
Just have at least 2 extra battery if you want to go out there and shoot something
I have two batteries :) and to be honest I rarely have to use both. I can get a 30 video vlog easily with one battery plus 1000 photos (jpeg small)
Having said that. More batteries = Good idea.

Pros: Canon lens are one if my favorites quality is thier moto.
Cons: pricey other than that none.
Currently they're a third of the price they used to be. $1500 now just $500. That is a bargain for such a feature rich quality camera.
