Hunter's comment

Grazing livestock farms can be very time consuming and can also be painful with all the manual labors that you need to put in. Just imagine those challenges and multiply that with the volume of your herd and the area of your farm.

Thanks to science and technology for this robot invention that is dedicated to grazing your herd.

Swagbot is an omni-directional electric ground vehicle designed for use on grazing livestock farms. It has a rugged composite chassis and is capable of navigating undulating and hilly terrain and farm obstacles such as water, mud and branches.

Watch the videos for the actual testing of the robot and how the animals amazingly respond to it.

HI @macoolette,

Thanks for yet another hunt. Before I can approve it I must request that you find the URL of the University of Sydney’s project page for the Swagbot (alternatively their press release or blog post about it).

We do not accept external news articles or posts about products as official product link.

As per Steemhunt posting guidelines:

I will let this hunt in ‘Pending Edit’ status for some hours allowing you to find a more official link for the Swagbot. Let me know via a comment reply when you’ve made requested change.

Hi @fknmayhem. I found the link but I cannot find my post on Steemhunt so I cannot edit from there. I am replying here through Steemit. If that is something due to your changing its status, please "release" it so I can find it on Steemhunt. Thank you.

You can see the link on Steemit/busy below the Steemhunt button at the bottom of the hunt. :)

I have updated the link. Please check again. Thanks.

It still shows the modern farmer link on Steemhunt (but shows correctly on Steemit).

Please edit on Steemhunt. I’ve placed the hunt ‘in review’ now, so it’s visible’.

It is updated now on Steemhunt.

Finally! Thank you. 😊

Versatile and practical robot. Thanks to its design, it could be useful for other areas of daily life in the future. I personally loved its particular structure.

Thanks for share this hunt!

This can actually help in our livestock agriculture at present.

I watched the videos and yes, this robot is the future of farming. Great development for aggriculture. Perfect hunt.

That's one aplication of a robot I never thought of. It's weird but it seems like it can do the job of grazing a herd. And they've built it so it can cross any terrain.

The wonders of technology. :)

I have some farms, and this bot seems to be a great help, but it would only work on regular land.
Let's hope for more progress for the future.
I think it's great that technology reaches livestock and agriculture.

What do you mean regular lands? The flat ones? The definition states:

capable of navigating undulating and hilly terrain and farm obstacles such as water, mud and branches.

So you can use it on terrains if that is your concern.

Pros:
Yay for technology

Cons:
Animals are not here for us to use
This only works due to the animals being scared of the robot

This only works due to the animals being scared of the robot

That is not correct. If you watched the video, the animals were not scared but were actually following the robot.
