Panasonic is revolutionizing the world of retail business with this robotic retail checkout system called Regi-Robo. It is an automated retail checkout and payment system wherein there is no need for a cashier.
The system uses a special basket and RFID tags. All the goods in the store have corresponding RFID and the basket is where you will place your goods. Once you are done picking your goods, place the basket in the robotic check-out counter. The bottom of the basket opens to drop the goods in a bag and the RFIDs of the goods are scanned. Prices and total are then displayed for payment. Once payment is done, the goods are released in a plastic bag. And you're done! There is no need to wait in line for all your goods to be scanned, for the cashier to check on them one by one, and for your payment to be computed much longer.

Regi-Robo is new innovative Robotic Technology, it reduces lot of human work and save Time too.
It do all cashier work automatically at real time.
But it reduce Human Jobs in super Market services.

That is the caveat of replacing human with robots, humans lose their jobs. But maybe humans can focus more on something that robots can not do. 😊

RFID tags have been around for some time, but the labels or technology on the packaging is more expensive than today's printing of the EAN code. I don't think that packing the goods in a carrier bag is the big issue, the customer can do it himself.
If you were to use RFID, you would need far fewer cash registers, basically just supervisory staff. If the customer had to go through a sluice, then the articles he carries on his body would also be recorded (theft). But I think that the RFID system or something similar will come, the manufacturers only have to agree and add the additional costs to the product. The retailer will save personnel and the additional costs will be paid by the consumer.
That is another and yet good perspective to consider cost of production while I was just thinking of the "high-tech" and something new. 😊

This is really something that will bring the store to the next level that is no need to line to the cashier but it will automatically checkout the goods that you've bought. I love it and i want to see that in the philippines.
If that happens, it will replace many cashiers in the Philippines. We need to think of alternative job as early as now! 😄

Now i want to talk on product. Regi-Robo like a cashier, very nice and great feature and when a robot work on cash counter with the features of retail checkout and payment. This system same as when we are going on store and there are cashiers do all the process of payment and then goods packing.
