Today @yabapmatt released the details on the new Steem Keychain he made.
It is a chrome extension that allows you to store your Steem Keys (posting, active, etc) securely in your browser instead of having to type them into every new site you go to.
This is much more secure because typing your private keys into websites puts those keys at risk of the hosting servers being hacked and your keys stolen.
Gradually more and more Steem dapps are launching support for Steem Keychain.
It is available for free on the chrome extension webstore.

Just read about this Steem Keychain on the Steemit tranding page, a Chrome extension that prevents you from typing your password repeatedly. Cool hunt.
Is it compatible with a steemhunt chrome browser?
I think it's a good idea for security.
Let's hope it's actually implemented with steem dapps.

This is really good thing to store your keys in an extension. yabapmatt is already a trustable person so our keys will be safe. I will use it also.
Never put your owner key on this application, and using Steemconnect is pretty secure. Every steem DAPPS should use the API provided by steemconnect.
Yeah we trust SteemConnect but it would really suck if they got hacked and our keys stolen /:

That why to never use your owner key, and use it to reset the other key pairs in case if that happens.
This post solved my biggest problem. I was looking for this solution. Very useful for every person who is looking for steem keys to be safe and saved in chrome extension. Very nice post.
