From the spec sheet, it appears this camera was designed to be used with Matterport's recently announced service for select 360 cameras which currently includes the Theta V. I'm waiting for the day 360 cameras will have IR depth sensors paired with each camera.
Oh wow, this is a super awesome camera! I have never seen a 360 camera like this, it is very sleek and would be incredibly easy to carry around.. Great hunt 😎👍
Well, the stiching does not look so good. If you look at the original Theta Z1 sample photo "R0010198.jpg" you can see a big stiching error at the reiling near the holding hand of the camera. That does not seem any progress to other 360 cameras. The Xiaomi MiSphere stiching seems better to me.
Awesome! Even at only 4k, the theta v had better video quality then most of the other 360 cameras (way above the gear 360 2017) out there. With that large of a sensor it might help make up for not being a higher resolution.
