Let Your Love Grow

There’s one special day
In every year
Where we are told to celebrate
All those we hold dear.

But there’s a problem with this -
At least one I can see.
The flaw in it is,
That love should be free.

Love can be shown in a million ways,
And love should be shown each and every damn day.
Love shouldn’t cost, not even a penny.
Love can never be lost and should be given to the many.

And true love shouldn’t come around only once,
After the 14th your work is not done.
Your love should be expressed in each breath that you take,
In every word that you speak,
In each decision you make.

So enjoy the day,
The day of love,
Give thanks for your blessings,
From below and above.

But remember each day,
To let your love show,
And keep finding ways,
To help your love grow.
