Steemgigs: There Are More "Steemians In Need" Than You Know! Join Us, Let's Fix This! "You Were Never Alone!!!"

What's New On #steemgigs?

We started an experimental #steemgigs series recently in which we tried to offer to give out 5 SBDs to steemians who answered health-related questions. We were targeting mostly health practitioners in that particular #steemgig.

Glad to announce that the experiment worked as we got @tfeldman, "a renown steemian doctor", who came to our aid and expended himself by leaving us with experienced medical answers!

In our #steemgigs journey, it is becoming obvious that even on steemit, there are many steemians in need! We've seen posts related to suicide, depression and mental health get so much attention! Posts of these sorts, where steemians are able to open up on true life experiences, tends to draw other steemians in as they start to engage and open up more freely about their personal ordeals using the comment-section!

One feature of steemit obviously is anonymity and @steemgigs is hoping to offer a #steemgig regularly; for free; on behalf of steemians who aren't able to come forth in the open to reveal their needs.

As we explore steemit constantly, we see the need to offer this service to steemians for free or sometimes put up our own SBD or steem out there, to draw more steemians to come in on the rescue!

These are what's obvious:

  1. Some steemians call for help within their posts but may not be able to gather enough traction towards their posts.
  2. Some steemians need help but aren't bold enough to leave their personal questions out in public.
  3. Some steemians dealing with personal issues stay in their shells as they feel they are alone and no one will understand them!

This is where we intend to come in and that is where our recent #steemgigs testrun series was out to test!

Look at the results of our testrun:

Use  #steemgigs To Practice Your Profession, Help Steemians In Need And Earn  SBDs! Calling @thecryptofiend, @tfeldman And Every Steemian Health  Practioner To Answer 5 questions For 5 SBDs!

Here are general health-related questions that needed answers:

1. Can "not sleeping well for 8 months" lead to Death?

2. Can extreme stress lead to chronic insomnia?

3. Why is it that my sleep is laborious, short and shallow?

4. What are the extremest effects of chronic insomnia?

5. Any recommendation to cheap, natural or DIY remedy for chronic insomnia?

@tfeldman decided to lovingly help with these answers:

I think some of the questions are difficult to answer  because there are so many variables to things like "death". Did the chronic fatigue lead to stress, which then lead to higher cortisol levels, which then lead to higher blood pressure, which then  lead to heart issues and death...that could be one example.

From my limited experience (clinically) I would say that stress and anxiety are some of the biggest contributors to insomnia. Often people can't sleep because they are anxious about work the next day and have many things on their mind.

The best DIY is good sleep hygiene. Don't take naps and wake up at  the same time of day. Eventually, you will be tired enough to sleep  without thinking and can hopefully reset to a normal amount of hours of  sleep. Other things: don't exercise before sleep, don't drink caffeine before sleep, and you really should not watch TV in a bedroom before sleep.

The bedroom at night should be for two things: Sleep or sex. Nothing else.

As far as medications. This is a hard one. Melatonin probably is the  best for no major side effects and for long term. However it's  effectiveness varies from person to person. Benadryl can make you very  sleepy the next day. Ambien can make you dependent in the long term and can be dangerous without getting about 7-8 hours of sleep. (For example,  too little sleep on it while driving).

Try good sleep hygiene first! Many think they have tried this but many times these people are napping too. Good sleep hygiene is following all the steps!

Conclusion

Our aim with this type of free #steemgigs series is to be proactive! We will actively seek "these possible calls for help" as we explore steemit and feature them, while giving out some SBDs to steemians who help! In other cases, we will simply tackle possible unanswered general questions and implore steemians to join in, in answers! Perhaps, these answers will help someone out there!

If we spot posts from steemians, who need help but who never really got heard or response, we will publish a #steemgig in our series and find these answers!

Questions will cover any niche!

@stellabelle used to do something similar in the past, where was the voice of many in "The Secret Writer".

She is a reputable steemian! So if you have a series of personal unanswered questions that you seek answers to and you want to get answers anonymously, you can avail of this free #steemgigs service.

There is now an email to reach us on! "[email protected]"

What do you think steemians, isn't there need for this kind of service especially if you can avail for it free?

By the way @tfeldman, got a small SBD gift:

Have you seen this one? And been wanting to asking do you know any steemians from Afghanistan? Do you know how to speak their language of write in it? @stellabelle is looking for someone who can. I am not sure what the general language is there. It looks like it is Persian. Do you think so? Feel you will have some experience as you know Hebrew etc

I didn't see them yet! Thanks for sharing these great ideas!

I'm afraid that I don't know anyone from Afghanistan anymore. But to answer your question, my understanding is that the people primarily speak Pashto and Dari (Afghan Persian,) the 2 official languages...

That would be so cool to get a bunch of Afghani women, and kids and men for that matter, here on steemit...

Keep moving with this excellent idea!

Thank you! Do you have any expertise or skill. Just leave a comment about it! So we can look for unanswered questions in the niche!
