Steemfest Entry

Hello everyone, I'm a minnow who would love the opportunity to attend Steemfest!

1. A personal Bio

I started out writing about some of my own accomplishments and struggles in life along with overcoming, and I realized that none of those things really matter.

We hit a certain age in life where we take inventory of our experiences, the times we succeeded, the times we failed, the times when we felt like superheroes and the times we embarrassed ourselves, and we realize that every one of those experiences have value. It's not the experiences that make us who we are, it's how we dealt with those things that define us.
In thinking about different events in my own life, (both good and bad,) It struck me just how great an impact others have on our lives. When we stumble and someone lifts us up, something more transpires that changes us and without even thinking about it, suddenly we are able to show the same kindness to others. So if there is anything that I could write about myself, I would say that I hope that the kindness I've experienced by others, will carry on to everyone I meet.

1. Describe what you would bring to STEEMFEST

While thinking about what to write here, I got an image of Steve Martan in the movie, "The Jerk." "I don't need to bring much, all I need is this Steemit shirt." Looks around, "I don't need to bring much, all I need is this Steemit Shirt, and this Steemit hat..."

I've never been out of the United States, and I have seen a lot of stereotypes of how foreigners view American tourists, so to dispell those stereotypes, I would bring everything opposite of those things, and bring the best manners, a smile, a video camera and regular camera to record everything so that I can share it here on Steemit.

For me personally, the whole cryptocurrency system is like a foreign language, and I'm just winging it right now, but I'm having fun.

I think that attending Steemfest, will expand my understanding of how it all works and hopefully, I'll come away from it with an ability to help others understand how it all works, based on real experience.

1. A budget

My understanding is that Steemfest will be held from November 1st through the 5th, and hotels are $109 + tax/per night, with taxes, for five nights I estimate that to be around, $560.00.

The flight, (round trip,) at the lowest fares I could find, is $841.33 ok Kyak.com

I would bring my own spending money.
