Yesterday was an exciting day on the STEEM platform. @roelandp announced the location and dates for the third annual @steemfest extravaganza. STEEMians from around the world will take a pilgrimage to the city of Kraków, Poland in November, for a week of conferences and off-chain fun.

As of now, the official website is up and running. There are two 4-star hotels situated on the River Wisła that will serve as the epicenter for @steemfest 3. Last year I made the decision to travel alone to Europe to attend STEEMFest 2 (first time solo-traveling & first time in Europe). At the time of arrival, I did not personally know anyone else attending. I admit I was a bit nervous/anxious at first. But after having a drink or two I eased up and left Portugal with a plethora of friends from around the world.

The conferences were loaded with quality information and the venues were top-notch to say the least. I learned a lot about new STEEM-based projects and met many people working to build them. It's a time for STEEMians from around the world to get together and share ideas to help each other and help the platform grow.
