Local Bus Journey | Necessary, But Uncomfortable..

Local bus journeys are not very comfortable. We constantly face issues in our country's local bus travel such as taking more passengers than there are adequate seats, delays in reaching important destinations due to slow driving, various difficulties during the journey because of poor fitness from continuously plying the highways for a long time, and charging fares higher than the regulated rate.

However, for the middle-class people who need to commute long distances regularly, the local bus is the only reliable option. It is not possible for everyone to afford their own private car or travel by paying high fares for reserved vehicles. Therefore, despite a hundred difficulties, middle-class people are compelled to choose local bus travel. Besides the general public, students, job holders, and many others commute this way.

Even if one has the means, traveling by reserved car would consume a large portion of the monthly income on travel alone, and everyone wants to save money, making the local bus the only means of transport. When I was in college, I regularly traveled about 20 kilometers by local bus to attend classes. I still adopt this method when traveling in the city or elsewhere. It is difficult for those who do not regularly travel by local bus to feel annoyed when they suddenly board such a public bus.

Developed countries have many kinds of public transportation like Metro, Mono, high-quality buses, and Bullet Trains. Our country has introduced the Metro Rail, but it is in a limited area, only located in our capital city. I hope that gradually this transportation, along with other high-quality public transportation systems, will be arranged in the rest of the cities, which will significantly reduce the suffering of the general public.

People in developing countries can strongly relate to these experiences of public transportation. Especially in countries with high population density, the government often cannot provide adequate facilities for all citizens even if they want to. The people of these countries also adapt to the situation and adjust to the environment. However, as all the countries in the world are currently developing, I am optimistic that the citizens of all countries will be able to enjoy the benefits of even better public transportation in the future.
