Using Palm Oil over Groundnut Oil
PALM OIL
Palm oil can also be call Red Oil
This oil is common in our Nigerian Kitchen. Almost every homes make use of this oil in cooking.
"For several years now, palm oil has been described as one of the factors that fuel risk for heart attack or stroke.

Palm Oil or Red Oil can be derived from the fruits of Oil palm tree; Elaeis guineensis
Red oil contains phytonutrients like beta carotenes, lycopene and tocotrienols.
Palm oil are good anti-aging agents and moisturizers
Palm oil are good source of Vitamin E
Palm oil are good source of Beta-carotene
Palm oil are good sources of antioxidants
Tocotreinol in Palm oil helps reduce risk of cancer
Palm oil is rich in Beta-carotene which improves vision
Palm oil helps improve cardiovascular strength, hence it strengthens Heart health
Palm oil has anti-inflammatory and cholesterol-lowering properties, which prevents and reverses plaque buildup (atherosclerosis) in the blood vessels of the brain which reduces the incidence of ischaemic stroke. Hence, Palm oil reduces risk of stroke
Palm oil is low in cholesterol and quite better than using vegetable oil. This oil can be used in preparing different types of indigenous soups and soups prepared with palm oil tastes delicious.
The use of palm oil is encouraged because of its nutritious and health benefits.
