RE: steemdb 0.4.0 - a rich history for every account

in #steemdb8 years ago (edited)

If you have something you'd specifically like to see, please let me know.

It'd be interesting to "marry" the SP rewarded to a "back-then" price (from historical feed or exchanges), and a right-now price. By clicking a button one can see the $$$ equivalent (then/now).

Btw, excellent job.

Thanks! As soon as I figure out a way to get historical price data, I'll be adding something like this in. I haven't found a source for the data yet, but I'm sure one's out there.

There may be a workaround, although not very accurate :/

If you take a sample post reward of a given date, it'll give you the SP equivalent (which is the other 50% of the SDs). So, if a post got 100$, and 50$ were in SDs, and then the author got 300 SPs, then we know that these 300 SPs were considered to be worth 50$. So extrapolating this, we get 1SP= 50/300 = 0.166$.

Again, it should not be accurate, due to the lags involved (7-day average and stuff), but I can't think of anything else more representative sort of taking data from the historic charts of a RL exchange.
