What i find interesting about steemit. Entry into writing contest by Legendchew

in #steemcommunity6 years ago (edited)

Firstly, i will like to thank my Mr moderator @legendchew, impartial judges of SteemCommunity, accurate timekeepers Post Payout and my fellow competitor (that will loose woeful to me). Thanks for giving me the opportunity to kick some ass and win the contest.

Just like every other thing that interests me, I find steemit interesting because its mysterious with a lot of opportunities to unveil.

Before i joined steemit, i use to believe that

Opportunity comes but once.

Thats a lie, Opportunity is always around. There are millions of opportunity in steemit, uncountable ways to make money and live a comfortable live from steemit earning. You just haven't discovered them yet and you will never discover them if you eager to find out.
I came to steemit with the mentality of making posts to earn but then i saw some creative ideas and better ways to earn, that are way better than making posts. Like Neoxian Bank, Steem Monster, Steemhunt, SteemPress and a lot more to come.

Does it mean you must be extraordinary to make it in steemit? Must you have a creative idea to succeed in steemit?

That's another interesting thing i learnt about steemit and it also helps me in life. I grew up with the mindset that you must think like Albert Einstein or Leonard Da Vinci before you can achieve greatness in life but steemit proved to me that its a complete lie. Its okay to be a dummy, not everybody was born with a high IQ. If yours is low, its still okay (but would have been better if you have a high IQ). You can still achieve greatness with your dumb skull.

Some people were born to innovate while others were born to support them. You mustn't be the guy with a million dollar idea but you can join the moving train by supporting the idea.

In other words, if you are the guy with the idea but you dont have the money or skills to execute it. All you have to do is to present it to the community, if its way too awesome, a lot of people out there are willing to support your dream with money, advice, tips, guidance, assistane and make it come through. Someone might even offer to buy the Idea from you at a good price. Since you are creative, you can sell it (If you want), then think of another idea and use the money you made from the sold idea to sponsor the new idea.

If you are born a Dan, all you have to do is to find a dummy Ned that has the money to sponsor you.
You create something great (steemit) and sell it to him, then use the money to sponsor yourself when you create something greater (EOS).

Finally, another interesting aspect of Steemit is how it bring out the best in their members. With a lot of contest, ideas here and there. To win, you must push yourself beyond your limits, you have to think out of the box.
For instance, i am the best artist in my school and i thought i will always find steemit to smooth since i can make my way with arts... Only for me to get here and find millions of people that are way better than me and made me realize that i am not awesome as i thought.

Only for me to get here and find out that i have spent almost all my life in the mist of the wrong people. Since i now have millions of talents opponents, i buckled up and learnt more. Who knows where i will find myself in the future, with what i am learning now.

For the first time in my life i am cooling down to think and make a sensible entry into a contest because the last time i tried being stupid, it got me to nowhere. Even if i don't win this one, either way i am learning, improving and will surely win one day.
