Three days encounter that changed my life

It's very rare that people get encounters that changes their life from negative to the positive especially in the generation we are presently. I have prayed for one , fasted for one but somehow I couldn't feel it coming forth. I almost felt my sins were strong that repentance wasn't for me, like God has turned his back on me. As much as I tried to help myself , I repeatedly fall into thesame sin over and over until I decided not to try any longer.

Few days into the election break, I came across a book title "when God writes your love story". By Leslie . Though the book seemed more specific to relationship , it was able to change my life all round both in my relationship, fears, faith , weaknesses etc.

It took me three days to complete reading the book but the encounter will last for a lifetime. For the first time I felt God's peace and love pour out to me, I felt his presence moving around me, I felt the joy of his salvation, for the first time I was ready to die for my faith and die happily. How the book changed my life, I can't explain, I only know I was a new creation full of strength to walk into a den of lions with no fear, I could interpret God's love behind his words and I realized I have wasted my whole life celebrating the world where nothing really exist.

The encounter freed me from my sin, I could feel God's grace sufficient in me to overcome every obstacle. I remember telling a friend "it is today I became a Christian" and I was sincere about it. No wonder the apostle could not fear death as they carried out their ministry, they rejoiced to every persecution. It wasn't a spirit of human working in them, it was the spirit of God enabling them.

"We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us"

How true are this words, until the spirit of Christ strengthen us, we can do just few of what we can do. One thing we should desire Most is God's enabling spirit.

"His ears are not deaf nor his hands short that he doesn't hear our cry"

So daily let's seek for this encounter with Him. Only until then shall we enjoy the joy of our salvation as christians.
