Don't Believe Anything About Demons Other than the Bible.

지금은 귀신에 대해 말하는 사람들이 드물지만, 8,90년대만 하더라도 귀신을 쫓는다는 사람들이 적지 않았습니다.
There aren't that many people who seriously speak about demons these days, but there were tons of people that claimed they are able to chase demons out.

귀신을 쫓아낸다는 소문이 퍼져서 엄청난 대형교회를 이루었지만 시간이 지나자 소문은 자취도 없이 사라지고, 지금은 대부분의 교인들이 등을 돌렸으며 최근 성폭행혐의로 구설수에 오르내리는 S교회 K목사. 지금은 고인이 되었지만 ‘대적기도’라는 책을 써서 베스트셀러에 오른 J목사는, 아이러니하게도 평생 한 번도 귀신을 쫓아본 적이 없었습니다.
People like Pastor K of Church S, who lost many followers due to his recent sexual assault accusation, and Pastor J, who became a best selling author by writing books about demons, are well known to be able to chase demons out. The irony is that neither of them ever invoked or drove demons out.

그런데 입만 열면 귀신이야기를 했다니 기가 막히는 일이지요.
But they used to talk about demons all the time; that is just absurd.

그러나 여전히 귀신을 쫓아낸다고 주장하는 사람들이 더러 인터넷이나 유투브에 등장하고 있습니다.
And... there still are people who claim to chase demons out online.

그러나 그들의 주장이 진짜인지 무엇으로 증명할 겁니까?
However, how are they going to prove what they claim is true?

솔직히 말해서, 세상 사람들은 말할 것도 없고 크리스천조차 영화나 소설, 드라마에서 말하는 귀신의 모습을 더 믿고 있습니다.
And today, people believe and buy into the demons that are on TV and movies.

그렇다면 이들이 말하는 귀신이야기가 진짜인지 아닌지 어떻게 증명할 수 있을까요?
Then how can we know what they say is true or not?

가장 중요한 잣대는 성경이 아닙니까?
But shouldn't the most trustworthy barometer be the Bible?

성경에도 귀신이야기가 적지 않게 나와 있습니다.
The Bible has plenty of stories regarding demons as well.

그런데 성경을 제쳐놓고 사람이야기를 더 믿다니 기가 막힌 일입니다.
It is ridiculous to see people believing other people's claims and stories, rather than the Bible.

예수께서 그의 열두 제자를 부르사 더러운 귀신을 쫓아내며 모든 병과 모든 약한 것을 고치는 권능을 주시니라(마10:1)
Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. (Matthew 10: 1)

예수님이 공생애를 시작하시자 귀신들이 대거 등장하고 있습니다.
Demons come in Jesus' way as soon as he starts his ministry.

예수님의 사역은 귀신을 쫓아내며 질병을 고치면서 회개를 촉구하시며 천국복음을 전파하셨지요.
His ministry was to chase demons away, heal people, have people to repent, and spread gospel.

즉 예수님의 사역의 전면에는 귀신을 쫓아내며 불구를 온전케 하고 질병을 고치는 것이었습니다.
So he had to fight against demons and heal people whenever he had the chance.

그렇다면 귀신을 쫓아내는 것과 질병을 고치는 것이 전혀 다른 행위일까요?
Are they two different actions to take?

예수님과 사도들의 사역에는 항상 귀신을 쫓아내고 질병을 낫게 하는 것이 보편적인 행위였습니다.
For Jesus and the apostles, those two things were pretty common deeds to do.

그렇다면 귀신들린 사람과 질병을 치유하는 것은 별개의 일입니까?
Then are driving demons and healing people 2 separate things?

아니지요. 위의 성경구절을 보세요.
No, it's not. Take a look at the passages above.

예수님께서 더러운 귀신을 쫓아내며 모든 병와 모는 약한 것을 고치는 권능을 주셨다고 번역하고 있습니다.
Jesus gave the apostles the power to heal sick people and drive demons away.

그렇다면 사람들은 다른 불행한 문제는 없었을까요?
Then, how about other problems in life?

가정불화의 문제나 극심한 가난의 문제, 대인관계의 문제 등 사람들을 불행하게 만든 원인은 수도 없이 많았을 겁니다.
Conflicts in between family members, extreme poverty, people with social life issues....etc. I'm pretty sure those people had problems like these, too.

그런데 왜 예수님과 사도들은 유독 귀신을 쫓아내고 불구를 온전케 하시며 고질병을 치유하는 사역에만 집중하셨을까요?
But why did Jesus and his apostles focus solely on driving demons out and healing people?

그 이유는 귀신이 잠복한 사람들에게서 불구나 불치병이 있기 때문입니다.
It is because those illnesses are always there when demons hide inside people's bodies.

정확하게 말하면, 귀신들이 몸에 잠복해서 정신질환이나 불치병을 일으키기 때문이에요.
It is because demons cause all those things.

예수께서 무리의 달려 모이는 것을 보시고 그 더러운 귀신을 꾸짖어 가라사대 벙어리 되고 귀먹은 귀신아 내가 네게 명하노니 그 아이에게서 나오고 다시 들어가지 말라 하시매(막9:25)
When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” (Mark 9: 25)

열여덟 해 동안이나 귀신 들려 앓으며 꼬부라져 조금도 펴지 못하는 한 여자가 있더라(눅13:11)
and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. (Luke 13: 11)

예수께서 육지에 내리시매 그 도시 사람으로서 귀신 들린 자 하나가 예수를 만나니 그 사람은 오래 옷을 입지 아니하며 집에 거하지도 아니하고 무덤 사이에 거하는 자라(눅8:27)
When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. (Luke 8: 27)

여기 성경에서 귀신들린 사람들의 주요한 특징을 말해주는 증거가 있습니다.
These passages list common but crucial character of demons and the possessed.

귀신들이 몸 안에 잠복하여 벙어리나, 맹인 등의 불구를 만들고, 거라사 광인 같은 정신분열이나 간질 같은 정신질환을 일으키고, 디스크 협착증으로 등이 굽게 만들었다고 밝히고 있습니다.
The Bible says that demons hide inside people's bodies and cause disabilities like muteness and blindness; they create epilepsy and mental disorders (i.e: the homeless man in Garasa); and cripple people by causing lumbar stenosis.

그렇다면 귀신들은 위에서 언급한 정신질환이나 불구나 고질병만 일으킬까요? 아닙니다.
Does that mean demons can only cause mental disorders and incurable chronic conditions? Nope.

귀신들은 어떤 정신질환이나 불구, 지체장애, 불치병, 고질병, 유전병 등을 일으킬 수 있습니다.
Demons can cause any types of mental, developmental, genetic, chronic, and incurable illnesses or disabilities.

그러나 이를 증명하려면 예수님과 사도들처럼, 귀신을 쫓아내고 귀신들이 일으킨 고질병을 치유하여 회복시켜야 합니다.
But in order to prove this statement, you must be able to heal demon-caused illnesses and chase them out, just like how Jesus and this apostles did.

그러나 이 시대의 우리네 교회에서는 교회에서 귀신이야기조차 하지 못하게 입을 틀어막으며, 불치병이나 고질병을 고치는 영적 능력을 보이지 않지요.
But churches today avoid talking about demons at all cost, let along showing the amazing spiritual power Jesus had.

그러나 자신들의 무능과 무기력을 인정하기보다, 그런 성령의 능력은 사도시대에나 있었던 능력이라고 주장하는 신학자의 주장에 숨어 비겁하고 옹색한 변명을 늘어놓고 있습니다.
But rather than admitting their powerlessness, they hide behind theologians' theories of the power of the Spirit does not exist anymore.

그뿐만이 아니예요.
And that's not all.

귀신을 쫓아낸다고 큰소리를 탕탕 치고 있는 이들이 고질병을 치유하고 있습니까? 아니요.
Do people who claim to drive demons out heal others with their spiritual power? Nope.

그들 대부분은 귀신들이 소리를 지르고 뻗대기만 하면 귀신이 나갔다고 선언하고 있습니다.
Most of them say the demons are gone, once the 'possessed' starts screaming and acting out.

그러면서 집에 돌아가면 예전의 귀신들린 현상이 또 나타나서 찾아가면, 나갔던 귀신이 다시 들어갔다는 말만 되풀이하고 있지요.
But the symptoms usually come back after he or she gets home; then they would tell the 'possessed' that the demons have returned.

이들의 말이 허구인 이유는 귀신을 쫓아낸다고 주장하기는 하지만, 정신질환이나 고질병을 치유할 생각조차 하지 않는다는 것입니다.
The reason I say their claims are fake is that they do not even think to heal people's illnesses, although they say they can ward off demons.

제가 경험한 바로는 정신질환은 대부분 귀신들의 소행이고 상당수의 고질병들도 귀신들이 일으키는 질병입니다.
From my personal experience, most of the mental disorders and majority of incurable diseases are caused by demons.

저는 축출기도를 통해 귀신을 쫓아내는 동시에 고질병을 치유하면서 이를 증명하고 있습니다.
And I have been proving my claims by healing people as I drive the demons out of them.

또한 우리네 교회에서 질병을 치유하는 행위들을 가리켜 내적치유라고 말하고 있지요.
And Christians today call this process of healing "the Inner Healing."

내적치유의 내용은 예수 그리스도의 보혈의 능력을 의지하는 기도의 능력으로 치유하는 것이 아니라, 억울함과 상처 입은 내용의 편지를 써서 불태우고 바가지를 깨뜨리고 타이어를 쳐대면서 카타르시스를 경험하고 있어요.
The usual Inner Healing process depends on catharsis created by physically destroying things like letter burning, bowl squashing, tire hitting, etc., instead of pleading blood of Jesus Christ.

이는 심리적인 치유를 한다는 세상의 심리치료방식과 다를 바가 없습니다.
This is no different than seeking a psychiatrist for treatments and counseling.

십자가의 보혈의 능력이 부족하여 세상적인 치유기법을 동원하여야 합니까?
Why do you need to use the worldly method? Is blood of Jesus Christ not powerful enough?

내적치유로 유명한 세간의 모 장로는 음악을 깔고 스텝을 동원하여 감상적인 분위기를 조성하며, 집회에 참석한 환자들에게 병이 나았다고 선포하라는 기도를 외치도록 주문한다고 합니다.
An elder famous for his Inner Healing use meditative music and atmosphere; he tells the participants to proclaim that they have been healed.

이런 주문을 외치는 자기 확신이 성경적인 믿음입니까?
Is this self-proclamation biblical?

성경적인 믿음은 자기 확신이 아니라 하나님이 주시는 선물입니다.
The biblical faith is not self-assurance; it is a gift from God.

예수님께서 ‘네 믿음이 크도다, 네 믿음대로 될지어다.’고 인정해주셔야 합니다.
Jesus has to approve your faith, telling you, "You will receive what you ask."

아니라면 백날 나았다고 소리를 질러보세요.
If you disagree, try claiming you are healed out loud until you really are healed.

목만 쉴 뿐이지요.
Only thing you will get is hoarse voice.

성령께서는 제게 내적치유는 기도가 부족한 자들이 하는 방식으로, 무당들이 귀신을 달래는 방식과 비슷하다고 말씀하셨습니다.
The Holy Spirit told me that the Inner Healing is the method faithless people take, similar to people seeking shamans for supernatural help.

이렇게 교회에서 치유를 한다는 사람들에게서 귀신이야기나 귀신을 쫓아낸다는 말을 들어본 적이 있습니까?
But have you ever heard people healing other being able to drive demons away?

아니라면 그게 무슨 성경적인 방식입니까? 성경적인 축사나 질병의 치유는 동시에 일어나야 합니다.
If not, how is that biblical? Biblical invocations and healing must happen together.

이렇게 비성경적인 축사나 치유가 우리네 교회에 만연하고 있으니 기가 막힌 일입니다.
But people today depend on unbiblical ways to drive off demons and heal; strange, isn't it?

귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 치유한다는 이들이 교회만 있는 게 아니에요.
And driving off demons and healing sick people are not the ability only available in church.

세간에 중이나 무당이나 도사라고 칭하는 이들도, 자신들이 귀신을 쫓아내고 질병을 고친다고 주장하고 있습니다.
People who call themselves shamans or monks also have power to drive demons away and heal people--according to them, at least.

그렇다면 이들의 능력은 어디에서 오나요? 하나님의 능력은 아니지 않겠습니까?
Then where does their power come from? It is not from God; that's for sure.

그러므로 예수님이나 사도들이 했던 방식을 그대로 따르며, 성령의 증거나 열매가 있는지 날카롭게 분별해야 할 것입니다.
So please observe carefully whether these people follow Jesus and the apostles' way and have fruit of the Spirit.

아니면 미혹의 영에 사로잡힌 좀비들에게 인생과 지갑이 탈탈 털리게 될 것입니다.
If not, you'd be wasting your time and money to these demons' zombies.
