A narrow gate(the right choice)

There was a time we all did not exist here on earth but history kept on going on, in spite of us not being here. Surely nobody missed us, nobody would miss us after awhile or very long time, it doesn't really matter we'll all seize to exist. And the world will keep on going even with us not been around.

So, from one's point of view, this is what we are as we pass through this world, we are like a piece of time which begins, lasts a little while and ends. It begins when you are born, span over your life time and it ends in death.

Now looking at all this if we think about it, is that this temporary character of man is a fact, not a theory because it is truth it applied to all man. And it is a fact that does not depend on us. This will now brings us to one conclusion, we are not independent beings.

Now the fact that we are being born in a particular period of time, having specific parents, having certain gifts, this is not something we have willed. Before we came into existence independent of us, there was a reality which was installed when we were born this is something we can recognise, accept, reject, ignore or fight against, but we can't get rid of it, it's just there we can't get rid of it, independently of our will and there is nothing we can do about it, some will say it is the law of nature for those things to be there.

Man whether he like it or not, is a creature that is being gifted with intelligence and freedom, and a being with destiny which he ought to achieve by making use of that intelligence and freedom.

Now this destiny is the goal and it is to be found after the end of the road. Not on the road, but at the end of the road. To be clear this goal is not in time but outside time, at the end of each person's time, not in this life.

However, although man's destination is a wonderful goal, so wonderful that no eye have seen it nor ear heard, nor as it entered the heart of man to conceive what God has prepared for those who love him, this doesn't mean man will necessarily reach his goal. He will reach it if he want to, and he will not reach it if he doesn't want to. Just as St Augustine put it "God, who created you without you, will not save you without you. "

All men must choose, there is a choice "self or God". The time we all exist on earth, is the opportunity given to every man to use his intelligence and freedom to work out his own enternity, to accept the destiny mapped out for him, or to refuse it and follow is own choice. This life is so arranged that you have to choose one of this mapping. Now there are two things man has to choose between God and himself.

Saying yes or no to God. And saying yes to God means saying no to oneself and vice versa. Free will. God who never turns his back on what he has created, respect man's freedom and leaves him with whatever he freely choose.

At the end of the journey, it is the door that opens to eternity, and then there's no more time. Every person will then be left with whatever he has Choosen. And if he has choosen God, he will have God for eternity and then he will have reached the goal he must have worked for during his time on earth. if a person chooses himself despite all the call to repentance, and also despite all the opportunities, which one after another are offered to him to help him correct his mistaken choice, then he will spend an eternity without God.

So in a nutshell, there are two and only two ways a person can follow during his life here on earth. There is a narrow road, the road of saying no to oneself, and a wide road, where one says yes to oneself and there is a narrow gate, which is Jesus Christ. (I am the gate. He says he who enters by me will be saved).

And a board gate the princes of this world. All that I have said so far I think they all can been seen from the Gospel.

Luke 13:23-24 :Master is it true that only a few will be saved?' He replied to them, 'try your best to enter by the narrow gate, because, I tell you, many will try to enter and will not succed.
