"Revival must be maintained"

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Hello friends of Steemit, in my daily posts related to @steemchurch I will present you in a fun, fresh and very dynamic way the gospel of our Lord Jesus. So get comfortable and get ready to know a little more about the word of GOD that is not only for old people or with time in the ways of the LORD. Thank God for the life of the leader @sirknight.

Hello friends, my last 2 publications talk about repentance: The first one was: "For revival you need repentance" and the second one "Revival produces restoration". Topics that undoubtedly some are food for our faith and today I bring this publication that is the complement of the previous ones. I hope it will be a great help for your spiritual life.

NOTE: We must understand that after a time of enlightenment there can be a weakening in the faith if the relationship with God is neglected.

Read Judges 2

During the time of Joshua all the people had served Jehovah. They had conquered the "promised land" and God had prospered them. But the later generation forgot God, they began to enjoy the achievements of their parents and as a consequence the evil came on them and other peoples dominated them. In the midst of this situation, God raises Judges (Otoniel, Deborah, Samson, Gideon, etc.) to lead the people as soldiers and confront their enemies.

  • God has a purpose to bless his people. When the church is in communion with God it serves it as Israel did. "The people served Jehovah all the days of Joshua and all the days of the elders who survived Joshua, who had seen all the great works that Jehovah had done for Israel" (Judges 2: 7)

  • The people of God tend to turn away from Him. Many times we go back in faith, we are distracted by the things of this world, and some abandon the ways of the Lord. This is a natural process, which we must know to avoid it and not fall into the temptation of becoming simple religious, who fulfill rites and norms, but forget the living God. The people of Israel turned away from the Lord. "And there arose another generation that knew not Jehovah ... The children of Israel did evil in the sight of Jehovah and served the Baals" (2: 10-11).

  • God disciplines his people because he loves them: Because of the great love they have for them, God disciplines believers and distant churches "with the purpose" of making them return to HIM. He also disciplines them because his plan for the redemption of the world becomes slower when his people are separated. "The anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and I delivered them by the hand of plunderers who plundered them ... they could no longer withstand their enemies ... and the hand of Jehovah was against them" (Judges 2: 14-15 ).

  • The people of God cry out to Him for help. God's discipline increases in intensity until his people cry out to Him. He is patient and suffering. As the father of the prodigal son, God anxiously awaits the return of his children to him.
The people of Israel clamored for help and then "... Jehovah was moved with mercy by his groans ..." (Judges 2:18).

  • God delivers his people. "And Jehovah raised up judges to deliver them out of the hand of those who stripped them" Judges 2:16. God is ready to receive his children when they return repentant. He cleans and forgives. He re-establishes the joy of being part of the family of God.

  • When the people rebel again, pledge the blessing. "... they departed quickly from the way their fathers walked obeying the commandments of the Lord" (Judges 2:17). The people in times of anguish cried out to God, and the Lord freed them from the enemies, but immediately they forgot and fell again. Does not this happen in our life? In times of crisis we approach God, but as soon as things are resolved, we return to live our own way, and soon after everything begins to go bad again. Would not it be wiser to always remain in communion with God?

God is slow in anger and great in mercy, his patience has a limit, and we must not pass it on. Read Judges 2: 19-20

Cone to him any time you have sinned and fine contrary to his will .
He is always ready to accept you any time

God is slow in anger and great in mercy, his patience has a limit, and we must not pass it on. Read Judges 2: 19-20

This passage is heavy, I can't stop reading the lines, this is a great warning

God has a purpose of creating us.
He loves us so much, he is a wonderful, merciful God.

A lot of things happen in our lives because of our negligence of serving God well, but God is always ready to revive us to Himself if we're ready to accept Him
