CONSIDER THE SACRIFICE

It is common for many Christians / believers to look only at the sacrifice of Jesus as being for the lost and that it has no result in life after confession and belief in Him. We deceived ourselves into believing that the only thing that He guaranteed us was a place in the sky and, if it had been just that, it would already be a good size. However, God in his full mercy, through Jesus, has guaranteed different realities.

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people exclusively owned by God, whose purpose is to proclaim the greatness of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." (I Peter 2.9)

Do you have a sense of what those things are? That is for the Church! It was not only a salvation, but it was a quality of life, the conditions were once lost, but today they are available and we have free access. Dear, I do not know if you paid attention to the power of the phrase "exclusive property of God", but it brings truths so deep that they come to shame. Man, naturally speaking, should not have more access to the Father, who will say to belong to Him? The Living Sacrifice takes us out of the position of children of darkness and places us on the same level, in the image and likeness of God ... Hallelujah!

Many times we are with the idea a bit disturbed of what Jesus did and what He guaranteed us. It is interesting and at the same time exasperating, as some believers fear reaching into the presence of God for still finding that there is a gap between Father and son. In the case of Jesus, it is a kind of "envy" about Jesus, because we are wanting what He has, we want to be children as He is, we want to be close to God as He is and the problem is there, because while we are still wanting, his sacrifice has already given us these things.

That already belongs to us, that is already ours ... God planned everything so that we could return to the position of children, from which we should never have left. There is the importance of considering what Jesus did and not only face his sacrifice as a rescue of those who are lost. No, in addition to rescuing He guarantees the position of Son of God!

In the Old Covenant, God wanted to reconnect what had been lost, but man's heart was still empty and far away. But the Lord was not satisfied with that situation and wondered about dwelling in the midst of his people in an ark, but you believe that God was happy inside of it. No, brothers, He was not there. The relationship He longed for was on the level that Adam and Eve experienced.

He decides to send his beloved son, the death / resurrection of Christ guaranteed us a dwelling in heaven, but also guaranteed God the opportunity to live within us.

"Who will condemn them?" It was Christ Jesus who died, and more, who rose again and is at the right hand of God, and also intercedes for us. (Romans 8.34)

Are we understanding that passage? One of the interpretations is adjusted to the fact that we do not need to fear, or worry, or even find that we are alone, because we have an Intercessor. But how did he become our intercessor? After having sacrificed his life to save us and save us the full life in the heavens and on Earth.

Consider the sacrifice of Him and live what is already available. It is time to stop wanting what we already have. Remember that in addition to rescuing the lost, Jesus transports us to the condition of Justice of God and Royal Priesthood. We are ministers of the New Covenant, but as we already know, that does not fall on us, because it was all about Grace, but we must do justice to what was given to us.
