This is a wonderful message. As child of God you are the light of the world. Light is the opposite of darkness. Everyone welcomes light with shouts of joy. Wherever there is light, hidden plans are exposed. What Jesus Christ expects from us is to prove Him right by living in accordance with His description of us. Living righteous is very costly. But the consequence of not living holy is too dreadful to be compared to the cost. You might find it difficult to remain faithful to your spouse or withhold yourself from sex before marriage. Some people would dismiss and mock you as being old-fashioned. But when weighed against the horrible result of immoral living, such as the odds of contracting HIV/AIDS and the consequent forever lasting regret, at any cost, holiness would be better appreciated.
