Envy Rots The Bones.

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Did you know that there are some people out there that the root of their sickness is ENVY and lack of contentment? No doctor can diagnose that no matter how specialized or professional the doctor might be?.

Did you know that obeying the commandment "you shall not covet" protects your health? (Exodus 20:17)

Coveting means envying others because you want something they have. This hurts relationship with God and your fellow human being. It causes heartache. It can even affect physical condition and beauty. It can take away peace of mind and lead to being anxious which might end with high blood pressure.

People that envy never wish good for those that they envy, they always wish to be like someone else and sometimes they can even go an extra mile to wish evil for such person if they have the opportunity to have those things to themselves.

One thing about envy is that, it make someone to look inferior and such person will never see the treasure and gifts that he/she has.

An envying person will never appreciate what he/she has but rather keep complaining of what he/she doesn't have that he see in the life of other person without considering what it take that person to have that.

Envy rob someone of happiness and peace of mind thereby the probability to live a fulfilled life will be minimum.

The cure for envy is to be content with what you have and keep appreciating God while striving to be better than the way you are and not remain the way you were yesterday but havinthe g hope of a brighter future and working towards fulfilling your vision.

Take good care of yourself

You need to take good care of yourself with what you have and stop worrying about what you don't have because we never know the number of days we will spent on earth and we just can't risk it by keep chasing shadow while forfeiting the real object that we have at hand.

Believe that God has good plans for your life

Believe that God has a good plan for your life even more than your own plan. Believe that there are good things in stock for you and there is a reason you haven't gotten them just to keep you prepared and ready in order not to sink with those things when they finally come.

Watch your actions

Don't embrace the imagination of getting away with other people's property because you might not be happy when someone rob you of your belongings that you work hard to earn.

Never compare yourself with anyone else because it invites covetousness, jealousy, envy. Comparison only thwarts God's work or plans in your life.

Life is simple and it will be easy if we keep living it with the thought that all those that have passed away never went with a pin out of those things they acquired either by crook or in the right way.

Thanks for taking your time to read through.

To me Envy is actually like a disease, we need to be contended with what we have

Thanks for this

...quite a nice perspective you got on envy @funkylove

Being envious is a kinda waste of time for me. You waste time checking the people out rather than working on being a better version of you.

Thanks for your time and contribution.

I love this
