THE VICTORY IN THE LIFE OF JESUS

When the time of fulfillment arrived for what he had been preparing and waiting for thirty years, Jesus goes to the Jordan to be baptized. But, he does not go there to do a miracle, to receive an approval from men, or to make a show in front of the crowd, he goes looking for something that for Him was essential to receive, in order to be able to start this ministry, The Holy Spirit! Jesus knew very well the principle that God does not start anything without His Spirit.

The first sign that God is in a matter is that it begins with the Holy Spirit, and Jesus was very clear about it. What moved Jesus to the Jordan, as a man, was the hunger for something supernatural. Remember that He emptied His deity to come as a human, and teach us that what He conquered on this earth, He did as a man, depending on God, His Word and His Spirit, to give us, in this way, a lesson that we can walk as He walked and do the things He did. He left us the way, the example, the legacy, and most importantly, the Spirit.

Jesus emphasized that he needed the filling of the Holy Spirit, and when it was for John to baptize him, he was recognizing that he needed to do it - even if he risked his reputation - because this was the only way. That is, dependence, obedience and redemption to his Father were necessary for him to be granted the Holy Spirit. He understood perfectly that this was the guarantee of success for what he was going to undertake. Jesus sought to tell the Father that what was most valuable to Him was the Holy Spirit, that it was not about his own reputation or will, but that he was absolutely dependent on his Spirit.

We must learn from Jesus, He did not want to do anything that was not certified by the Father, without first the glorious Spirit of God resting on Him. Are we so thirsty and hungry that we can run to the place of an encounter with Him? Holy Spirit of God? Jesus wanted a fullness of His fullness, a perfect communion with Him, so that there would not be an empty space in his heart that would not be filled by the Spirit of God.

The Holy Spirit is the Lord, and where He is, the strategy of heaven comes; and that never fails. Always works!

John 8: 28-29: "Jesus said to them," When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and that I do nothing by myself, but as the Father taught me, so I speak. For he who sent me is with me; the Father has not left me alone, because I always do what pleases him. "

John 5:19: "Then Jesus answered and said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can not do anything for himself, but what he sees the Father do; because everything the Father does, so does the Son equally. "

Jesus did not allow the temptation to do things his way to govern his life, he knew that doing things as He seemed would not bring glory to the Father. If we should know something, it is that man can fix things, but only God can resuscitate them. When we do things in God's way, glory is guaranteed.

The secret of Jesus' success was the dependence on the Father, and always doing what pleased Him, that is, acting in humility, obedience, service, love, surrender to the will and dependence of the Holy Spirit.
