ARE YOU A GOOD SOLDIER OF CHRIST
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen of the steemchurch peace be with you all. Thanks once again for your time with me. Today's lesson will be taken from the books of
2 Timothy 2:1-7
Soldiers are characterized by their persistence,strength and commitment to duty. Every soldier is expected to exhibit loyalty,be duty conscious,respectful,provide selfless service,be honourable,have integrity and personal courage.
The Christian walk is equated to that of a soldier because of their many battles with sin,the devil,the world and the desires of the flesh. Timothy,a child being nurtured and mentored by Paul was cautioned to be strong in the grace.
The strength and armoury of the Christian is grace . Without grace, or we cannot be a good soldier of Jesus. The grace provides the favour and win his/her life's battle especially against the devil who is the primary opposition of the Christian .Paul also entreated Timothy that he should be strong in Word of God which he (Paul) had witness and entrusted to the faithful.
The grace of God is the armour of the Christian and the Word of God is the ammunition for effective battle. God Himself did everything possible based on the Word and so Christians can never become a good soldier without the Word of God. The Word is sharper than any two edged swords. A good Christian soldier always shares the good message of Christ even in crises. Suffering is part of Christian's calling therefore in such situations one must persist in faith and grace and profess the Word of God in order to attain peace. As a good soldier, Jesus Christ is to the enlisting officer and all commands come from him, let us communicate with Him always in prayer and Hid commands would make a good soldiers.

As you say brother @ bigssam, the grace of God is the armor of the Christian and as good soldiers dressed in that armor we must be faithful and disciplined to obtain victory in all the battles that come our way.
