From this definition and this graph we can get a great teaching for multiple applications.

As you can see, the branches produce grapes, they are responsible for producing fruit. And they are always feeding on the vine or stem.

Every so often the person in charge of taking care of the vine (the husbandman) makes a pruning to improve the quantity and quality of the grapes produced.

In the work or professional environment we can apply a teaching from this that we mentioned..

If we are the branches, we are responsible for producing fruits. These fruits can be green numbers in production, profits in the company, quality in our reports, good relations with the rest of the staff, etc. However, it is necessary to be totally in tune with our supervisory line, be able to follow the guidelines and requirements that they ask of us and try to perform all the tasks in the most optimal way. Every so often the manager or owner of the company comes to review the performance of the organization, and in his broad knowledge of what is the objective, vision and mission for his company makes the adjustments he considers necessary, some changes in the budget, some small scolding and above all verify the total coordination or harmony between us and our supervisor. All this with the sole purpose of optimizing, increasing and further developing our potential and thus be able to generate better profits or higher production in the company we work. If for some reason we decide not to follow the guidelines of our supervisor, unfortunately we are dismissed.

We Christians understand perfectly what it means to be a branch, because in the bible this teaching is expressed by Jesus Christ himself (Here the biblical quote John 15: 1-17). Where He says "I am the true vine, and my father the husbandman" and we are like branches.

Jesus adds: "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit ".

It is clearly understood that we bear much fruit thanks to communion with our Lord Jesus Christ and also to be processed by our Father, in addition to keeping his commandments and remaining in his love. Then he emphasizes a great commandment "That you love one another, as I have loved you".

No one has greater love than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
