Yesterday, we had another wonderful gathering at the Bible study class held @steemchurch Discord server. And as usual, it was anchored by Apostle @Marcelo182. I think Parishioners are beginning to show up for the Bible study which is amazing. I also want to encourage other Parishioners to make a date next Friday.

The topic of yesterday was centered on Evangelism and reasons why we should talk to people about Christ. Now, this is a very familiar subject to every Christian, but the question is, do we really know that evangelism is a mandate from God? A mandate is a command given by someone higher than you are. A mandate is not usually a thing of choice rather its something that you must do. When Christ was on earth, he was a well-known evangelist the same goes to the Apostles of Christ. He took it very seriously and when he left, he also passed that mantle to us, he mandated us to spread the gospel of the Lord to all the earth. So, evangelism is not optional for believers. It's not only for selected few rather all believers.

Looking at all the happenings in the world, believers will agree with me that we have a serious task in our hands. There are a lot of souls out there that needs to hear about the good news of Jesus. Honestly, God has been so faithful and keeping the goodness of God to ourselves will not do us any good. In the Bible class, we were asked to suggest ways in which we can evangelize as a community. Now, this brings us to the main aim of the Bible study.

What are the ways that we can evangelize as a community?

I must say that we have a great weapon as a community. We have the population, the platform, and the audience. I humbly suggest some of the ways that I think will help us push and spread the gospel of Christ as a community;

Through Discord:
I want to state here that discord and steemit cannot be separated. In fact, the importance of discord cannot also be overemphasized. The good news is that most users of this great platform are also on discord. And each of us must have joined at least five discord channels. Most times, these servers host shows where users are allowed to present their posts for curation. As individuals, we can try as much as possible to attend these shows just to have the opportunity to present a Christian post. By doing this, we are directly talking about Christ to a lot of people. Also, we can try to visit the link room of these servers to drop our Christian post because you never can tell who will decide to take a look at the post. Lastly, our Bible study is usually held on Fridays, we can also go to different servers to invite people to come and join us.

Through Social Media:
I must give credit to the Steemchurch officials because they are really doing a great job. I was so happy when the official Facebook account was announced. Nowadays, a lot of people spend quality time on social media. And thankfully, we are there to also win souls. All we need to do is to create more awareness through the Facebook page. The handlers of the page can from time to time organize a contest or quiz on Bible passages with this, people who are not believers will see it and would want to participate just for fun, but at the same, the gospel is been spread.

Through Magazines:
The Executives could come up with magazines, booklets, tracts, and flyers to be distributed in every country where there is a steemchurch parishioner which means the articles, scriptures, and readings will be written in different languages by so doing English will not be a barrier to the gospel of the Lord.

These are my humble suggestions Apostle @marcelo182. I know there will be more ideas from great and amazing parishioners that attended the class.
