Prayer is Universal
Prayer is a form of meditation between the creator and those whom he has created. It is a vital link for staying connected with God. As a true Christian, if your prayer life and habit is luring weakness, there is no way you can understand the principles of everyday life that God is trying to teach you. You have to be soaked in prayer.
Prayer unlocks what people frequently call ‘’inner strength’’ lacking that divine strength within- the presence of God living in your life is void. When we pray- we communicate with God and he doesn’t want us to go into his presence not knowing if he is present with us. He doesn’t want us to be lost in the tunnels of wondering if he is hearing our prayers.

Pattern of Prayer
Prayer is not just communication, talking without an expectation of a reply or simply put monologue. Prayer is following the pattern of the spiritual in other for Christ to participate and respond in our communication. For example, when you go to a tailor and get a dress sown your measurement is taken but if the measurement is wrong it can’t not fit you properly. Even if it is beautifuly sewn. Such theory applies to prayer. Let us return to the genesis of prayer- which is the Lord ’s Prayer which Jesus taught us how to pray Matthew 6:9-13
This Bible verse outlines that there are steps to prayer
- Acknowledge God as the master of prayer
- Acknowledge his Kingdom
- Apply his word- and in other for this to be possible, you must be filled with his word
- Attentiveness to the work of God
- Affirmation of God in our every endeavor
God is omniscience, omnipotent, all knowing, he never stops moving, he is always in transition without boundaries in spite of the veils of the flesh in communicating with those that are his so do not hesitate to communicate/pray with him for he listens and hears always

Jesus also mentioned how prayer should be done in his model prayer (also known as the Lord's prayer). In the book of Mathew 6: 5 -8 , he talks about avoiding praying like the hypocrites, and that is better to talk to God in secret. Then oour Father who looks on in secret will answer us. He also talked about avoiding the use of many words, but rather use of words from the heart.

Fine writeup on prayer. I agree with you, prayer is not a monologue. It is more like a conversation. Since prayers are answered when God approves of it, though it may take time sometimes but it is for our very own benefit. Just like the illustration you gave, it's not the physical appearance that matters. It is the things not seen, the condition of the heart. Definitely a good read to think about during the day.

However, we must ensure we commune with the father and wait for response whenever we pray. At times what we ask God for is not really what may help us and so we are finetuned to think God does not answer prayers

This is a very helpful and wonderful post on prayer.
Prayer is the key to communicating with God the father. Sometimes I get weak in my prayer life but I try to pray at least once a day and even in my weakness he still hears me and for that I thank him with my family everyday.
Your post has inspired me to pray more now because I know he is listening and is always there for me.
An altar of prayer on fire cannot be quenched by the colds of the devil. A man who is built with prayer as the corner stone cannot be destoryed or brought down by the strong holds of flesh and worldly lust. So let the foundations of our actions and activities be founded in true prayer, communication and interaction with God.
Prayer is the easiest way to connect with our creator. But let me just quickly add that it is not only when we are troubled that we pray. We have to pray always, both in good time and in bad.
