Four Player Chess : New online variant (video by @schamangerbert)
The most famous and largest chess community in the Internet has a new toy. After the study of some videos I have tried it now and would like to provide you with this video a first impression. On a 14x14 square board 4 players face each other, clockwise the moves are executed and everyone must try to collect as many points as possible. The rules are like normal chess, with a few tricky features. I'll explain those I've understood so far as good as I can.
Die wohl bekannteste und größte Schachgemeinde des Internets hat ein neues Spielzeug. Nach dem Studium von einigen Videos habe ich es nun auch versucht und möchte Euch mit diesem Video einen ersten Eindruck verschaffen. Auf einem 14x14 Felder großen Brett sitzen sich 4 Spieler gegnüber, im Uhrzeigersinn werden die Züge ausgeführt und jeder muß gegen jeden versuchen soviele Punkte wie möglich zu sammeln. Die Regeln sind wie beim normalen Schach, mit ein paar verzwickten Eigenheiten. Ich werde die, die ich bisher verstanden habe so gut es geht erklären.

Danke für den Tip! Macht echt Spaß, in meiner letzten Partie waren nur 2 Gegner übrig und obwohl ich mattgesetzt wurde, hatte ich das Spiel an Punkten noch gewonnen! Sieg trotz Matt hat man nicht alle Tage :)
Ja , die Punkte sind mir nicht ganz klar, ich werde auch noch eines spielen. Wie ist dein Rating? Ich bin bei 1410.
Noch unter 1300, aber ich werds weiter versuchen :)
It's very interesting game. We used to play also chess in four (we called it German chess, I don't know why :-) . It was played on two boards in couple sitting next to each other. One had white and one black pieces. When one took a piece to opponent he passed it to his playmate and he could use it in his game (instead of one move).
It is called "tandem chess", it is totally different.
