The first Steemcampuk 07/04/18 Birmingham UK
Had an awesome day seeing new and familiar faces. Great job by @lloyddavis organising this event, first time I have been to an Unconference where people pick a topic and no one is in charge, you decide which conversations to join into or not.
Apologies for the blurry photo and lack of other photos, took a few snaps but they turned out even more blurry, there were some attendees who had super cameras so hopefully see some good snaps looking via #steemcampuk
My topic of conversation was Crypto, which merged with other topics that were picked like mining and exchange strategies. There were 3 other people in the chat with some others joining and leaving, what we covered were:
- Good coins to mine (hardly any)
- Price of some crypto coins
- Mining profitability
- Becoming a Steem Witness or Full node
- Profitability of being a Witness or full Node
- Ways to cash out Steem
- Strategies for trading like buying at certain price points during dips
- How to time markets, this is the Billion dollar question
It's brilliant meeting with users in person, you get to meet the real persons behind the account. Hopefully see you around on Steem or at the next meetup!

For anyone who is on the fence about going to a meetup, I recommend to just go, it doesn't matter if you are a minnow, whale, low rep, high rep, young or old. From my experience at these meetups, everyone makes everyone feel welcome.
Sorry I missed you and good to hear such a positive outcome. There are some things where an hour's conversation moves everything along so much more quickly.
Hopefully next time, there were some great conversations flowing all around!

Absolutely back-up your last statement. Can't recommend these events enough. Nice post mate and wish I would have caught the start. Lots of the topics you listed at the beginning are very interesting for any noob as well as the more experienced and I know you would have accommodated my simpler line of questions. Will have to pick your brain sometime.
Will keep an eye out for your meetups and try and get over to your neck of the woods. Looks like there's a few Steemians your way.
